Campers Cove is a great campground located on beautiful Thunder Bay River and Lake Wynah. The park has waterfront sites, shaded sites, canoe and kayak trips, miniature golf, horseshoes, shuffleboard, basketball, volleyball, excellent fishing. The facilities were clean and well maintained.

All sorts of watercraft are available for rental here… canoes, kayaks, pontoon boats, fishing boats and paddleboats. You can spend the day with the whole family enjoying a canoe or kayak trip, ranging from 2 1/2 to overnite trips. Or you can fish right from the shore or from a boat. Walleye, large and small mouth bass, pike, perch, croupie and trout.

Campers Cove is a great place to spend a few days fishing and just taking it easy. We are planning on returning this summer!

  1. This was one of the worst campground experiences ever. We started at the campsite that was covered in goose poop and we were next to a swampy covered lake. The seaweed and lily pads covered the entire side of the lake. We paid for a canoe ride and they dropped us off at the side of the road under an overpass. They do not own a canoe livery this is a lie. On the canoe trip they did not offer life jackets. We had two young children with us and they stated this was a “family friendly trip”, it was told to us we would come out of the river and cross the lake to get back to the campground. We were given no direction or map of the river. When we reached the rivers mouth we were sitting ducks in the middle of a lake in a canoe. You had not sense of direction of which way the campground was. Each way looked desolate, unused and swamp covered. We ended up paddling across the lake against the current to a person’s house in hope we get directions. This experience was dangerous and poorly planned by the management of this campground. Beware do not do the canoe trip! Will never go back to this campground. The pool was dirty, stock was a mud puddle swamp hole and putt putt was a joke. Horrible experience.
