Lubec, Maine – West Quoddy Lighthouse – and a few miles from Campobello Island, Canada. You are half-way between the North Pole and the equator. It’s a five to six hour trip north of Boston but well worth the journey for the scenery and tranquility you find there.

Sunset Point is a well kept secret. Where else can you park your rig and wake up with the Atlantic ocean right outside your door. Open field camp sites. No shade, and ever changing winds. Even in August, bring a jacket. All sites have at least water and 30amp electric, some have cable television. There are small, but clean and adequate restrooms and showers. Didn’t count, but there can’t be more than 50-60 sites accomodating tents to class A’s.
No planned activities but a wonderful place to relax and unwind and watch the tides. Kids would run out of things to do very quickly.

Trips to Roosevelt’s Vacation home, Canadian Towns, and Passamaquoddy Bay, and whale watching are not to be missed.
