We checked in to Liberty Harbor RV Park on a day that was 105 to 110 degree hot. We paid $50, plus tax, for no electricity, no water site.

We went to New York City for the whole day, and could not wait to have an air conditioned accommodation. After we got back to our RV around 7pm or 8pm. we cooled down and relaxed. At 11 pm, the security guard asked us to stop the electricity generator. We had to drive to Wal-Mart at midnight so we can park for free, and being able to have air conditioning.

  1. I totally agree with the previous review about this park. I recommend that you do not book this place. The previous owners were very nice however I feel that the new owners/management have absolutely no customer service skills.
We booked about 2 weeks ahead. Got a call the day before we were to leave home, already packed up, telling us that they would have to put us in a spot with only 20 amps instead of 30, that we booked because of a mistake of one of their employees who gave our original spot away. I told them no we needed 30 amps so they said they would find us another spot but it would be “tight”. When we arrived our site was about 1 inch from the next unit with no water and power didn’t work. They got us a hose extension for water and worked on the power box until we got power. Then they told us because of where our site was we could not park our vehicle at our site because there was no room. They said we would have to park in a parking area outside the park. In the meantime there were probably 10 other sites still open. We said that was not acceptable and they said “fine then you can have your money back and leave”. Needless to say we could not do that since we just spent $100 on gas to get there. We asked if they were going to re=imburse us for the gas and show ticket money we paid and he said no. After reading other reviews at other sites it’s seems that they double book. They will bump or move you to a dry area so if you go there be prepared with a generator, water and an alternative place to go.
