James Island County Park Campground – Charleston, SC
This campground was great, but the staff was less than accommodating. We were awaken at 7:00 a.m. by chainsaws and beeping of lift trucks. This continued throughout our stay. We left early because of all the annoyances.
The toilets did not flush and it was apparent the bathhouse was not cleaned daily. The staff was not accommodating at all. I would not come back and I won’t recommend it to my friends.

We’ve stayed at this campground twice (2nd time was as workampers) and we love this campground. There’s so much to do – walking/biking trails (about 8 miles), a huge waterpark, places to fish, canoes to rent and it’s conveniently located right between Charleston and Folly Beach. This is on our “to do” again campground list any time we’re RVing up and down the East Coast.
