We were pleasantly suprised when we pulled into New Green Acres RV Park after a long day of driving down I-95.  Although we weren’t expecting much we found a nice little campground that makes a great overnight stopover on our way south.

The campground is located right off I-95, exit 53. They have 106 sites with plenty of shade and they claim to have “the longest and widest pull-thru sites east of the Mississippi”. Well… they are quite large, but we’ve seen a few up north that can give them a run for their money. Sites are full hookup including cable. Amenities include a laundry, swimming pool, a playground, clean restrooms and showers, a small campstore, dump station and club meeting facilities (with full kitchen facilities). They also have wi-fi.

Rates are reasonable: $26.00 electric/water, $28.00 electric/water/sewer, $30.00 electric/water/sewer/cable, and $32.00 electric (50 amp)/water/sewer/cable.

There are several restaurants close by that you can drive to, but other than that there isn’t much in the immediate area. This campground is, however and excellent overnight facility and one that I would recommend to fellow I-95 travelers.

  1. We were heading down to Disney from Gettysburg Pa and booked our stay in advance. The web site made it sound great! We also picked it because it had a pool for our 3 kids. We got there and found the pool closes when the office closes. We were not informed of that. We pulled into our site which was ok at best! We did not have sewer hook up but found the dump station to be under about 4 inches of water So I dumped in another site where there was no one staying at the time when we were leaving the next day. I am not sure who gave this campground a good review, but for campers from up north in Pennsylvania, this will have to be one of our “never will stay here again” campgrounds!

  2. We stayed there 2 nights in July and as this poster said it is a good overnight stop on I-95. We would not recommend it for families looking for activities. There were none. The pool was dirty and the children’s pool had no water in it but houseplants. The entire place needed the grass cut and we had fireants on our site. Our first site the concrete pad was broken all up and we called and ask to move to another site, was told that was fine, pick one! The reason we stayed the 2 nights was because we were going to do day trips to surrounding cities so we weren’t there except to sleep anyway and it was cheap.
