Graceland RV Park – Memphis, TN

Graceland RV Park was a nice campground with extremely friendly, helpful staff. The sites had level, gravel RV pads, and the utilities were in good shape and well positioned on the site. There was no cable TV but the reception on the Memphis TV stations was adequate for news, weather, cartoons etc. There was plenty of grass between the sites but there was absolutely no shade. The sites were a bit close, but still plenty of room. We had a pull through site and had no problems positioning our 33? fifth wheel. The restrooms were clean but were not air conditioned. The pool was very nice and stayed open late during our stay in mid July.

This park is perfect for visiting Graceland. Everything is walking distance. I had read before our trip that some folks were concerned about safety and security in the area. We stayed here 2 nights and felt a constant presence by the staff and had absolutely no concerns what-so-ever for our safety or security. I was perfectly comfortable in this park.

The Rock N Roll caf? is located in front of the park (actually in front of Heartbreak Hotel) and we saw a great Elvis show and had a good meal. Kids were able to go in and we had a great time. The staff at the Rock N Roll cafe? was awesome.

We camped here in a fifth wheel and highly recommend this park.

  1. We stayed here in September, 2010. All of the positive comments are true. The RV Park is adjacent to fairly upscale houses, but not too close. I felt safe walking in the neighborhood any time of day. It is a perfect base for visiting Graceland, plus there are shuttles to other Memphis landmarks. The only negative to be aware of is the entrance. There is an imposing hump in the pavement that requires a very slow entry and exit. We damaged our stabilizing jacks pulling out. Low profile rigs should take extra care.

  2. Thanks Tcamper. We’re planning a stop there in September to see Graceland and the Memphis Zoo. I did have security concerns and I was looking for an alternative outside of the City. You just ended my search, Graceland it is!
