We stayed several days at Cedar Oaks RV Resort on our way back from a camping trip to Branson. This is a very nice park located right on Grand Lake of the Cherokees in northeastern Oklahoma.
There are a great selection of campsites right on the lakefront and we had one of them. There are also free boat slips available for RV’ers who have boats. The owners and staff were wonderful, the rates are reasonable, and there was plenty to see and do within a mile or two of the campground.
Grand Lake is a very scenic lake with some great fishing. If you like antiques be sure to visit Harber Village, located just a few miles from the campground.
We highly recommend Cedar Oaks RV Park and are planning on returning this summer.
Our camping club enjoys Cedar Oaks at least once or twice a year. The lake is right there, and we have the use of one of their nice club rooms for our socials and meetings. There are a variety of attractions nearby, so there are lot’s to do or just relax in the quiet. The staff members are very accommodating. I reccommend you stop at Cedar Oaks when you are in the area and say hello to some very nice people.
This is one of the friendliest, well kept RV Parks I have been to. The staff is very friendly, they escort you to your site. We made reservations for a lakefront spot, and when we got there, it was ready for us. Absolutely beautiful sunsets over the lake…..seriously, could not have had a more relaxing vacation. We will be back over and over!!
We just returned from staying at Cedar Oaks RV Resort for a long 4 day weekend. I do have to say that the price is right there, however, we were disappointed at the accommodations there. We had personally gone there 2 weeks prior to our arrival to look around the campground before making our reservations. We were satisfied that the park was in a nice location so we went to the office and made our reservations. The lady there told us that there would be several large groups there that weekend and she found us 2 available spots together, by the lake, which we were delighted to get. Upon our arrival though, we were told that some of their “regulars” had arrived and our spots were given to them instead, but they had 2 other parking spots together for us. We were then taken to the “overflow” area which is a part of the park that had not been mowed and the picnic tables at our site were weather worn wood that was curling up on the ends. We literally had to dig through the grass to find our sewer hook-ups in the tall grass and standing water was all around our parking area because the grass was too tall to let it drain. It finally dried up enough on our last day there that we could actually keep our steps out and not have to walk in water over our shoes to go into our RV. By the way, the golf package is that you call the golf course yourself and make your own arrangements… nothing special because of the park. They certainly didn’t make us feel special at all!
