Ponderosa Campground – Cody, WY
Ponderosa Campground (http://www.codyponderosa.com) was a great place to stay. It’s conveniently located near downtown Cody, but was quiet, too. There’s tons of great things to do near the park, including Yellowstone National Park, Buffalo Bill State Park, the Buffalo Bill Dam, Buffalo Bill Museum, hiking, rafting, fishing, and hunting. We stayed here in September, 2007, in a very large pull-through site. Our 43′ RV and towed fit without a problem. It was a full-hookup site, and even way in the back of the park we had great Wi-Fi signal.
The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful, right from the moment we arrived, when they were very detailed in discussing all the thing there are to do in the area. Plus, they were able to make reservations, and sell tickets, for a lot of the area activities – the Rodeo, river rafting, tram tour, etc.
The whole park was clean, neat, and well-maintained. Based on our experience here, we will definitely be back, and whole-heartedly recommend this park to others.
