Taps RV Park – Asheville, NC

Taps RV Park is located just outside of Asheville, North Carolina in a commercial area. There is a very active train track just behind the property. It is small and an older campground but well maintained. It is pretty tight for big rigs.

The staff was friendly and the rate ($33) was reasonable. My only problem was we stopped there because we needed to do laundry but the laundry setup was not the usual coin operated arrangement. You pay the staff (when on duty) to turn on the washer/ dryer. Therefore your can only wash during office hours when no one is using the one bathroom (one of two) which has the one washer/ dryer in it. I don’t see how they can claim to have a laundry.

It was a little too tight for our 38′ fifth wheel. We would probably not stay there again.

Jim and I stayed at the campground 2 nights. We found it very easy to find. The staff were very friendly. Other campers were nice. The campground was clean, sites were not too close, We felt very safe. Our dog Daisy enjoyed meeting minnie if we are in the area we would stay again. We did hear a train but it was a lovely touch, not loud at all. I would highly recomend this campground.
