Kamp Klamath RV Park – Klamath, CA
My name is Anne Hughes and I stayed at Kamp Klamath September 1, 2007. This is the most pathetic excuse for an RV park I’ve ever seen. The web site makes the campground look wonderful and that’s why we booked reservations there… but you’d be hard pressed to find anything there that looks like the web site. The camp store is an old log cabin that is filthy and poorly stocked. The bathrooms are filthy, the showers don’t work. There are old, run down beat up TT’s parked all over the place with permanent residents – an old single wide mobile home is parked at the end of what’s supposed to be the RV park.
There’s no trash bin – there’s no 50 amp service and the 30 amp kicks off. It’s advertised as having wifi and cable but there’s no cable and the wifi is weak at best. One old man runs the whole place and is run ragged and overworked. There’s a goat tied up in the sunshine on a short rope with no shade or water. It’s just a junk yard… a campground on one side and a junk yard where the RV park is supposed to be – cars, trucks, boats, old TT’s.
We left after one day and won’t return. The only time we saw the owner was when he came out to say something to us about our dog barking. Our dog had to be on a leash but his had the run of the park and when our dog barked at him, he came over to tell us that barking dogs weren’t tolerated. Very rude man.
