Chula Vista RV Resort | RVBuddy.com

Chula Vista RV Resort is a very, very clean park, with level sites, clean restrooms, lots of amenities and events year round. The campground is only 5-10 minutes to the beach.

The RV Resort has a continual Five Star rating from Woodall’s and high ratings from Trailer Life. The property has over 200 spaces with full hook-ups. In addition, each site is attractively bordered with well maintained landscaping to provide privacy. Around the grounds you will find plants from North America, India, The Canary Islands, China, New Zealand, and South Africa, all part of the Mediterranean.

The campground is nestled on beautiful San Diego Bay, surrounded by landscaped parks and adjacent to its own 500+ slip marina. Some of the other amenities include a general store with boutique, a picnic area with barbecues, a beautiful swimming pool and spa, laundry facilities, full restrooms, and club rooms.

We paid about $75 a night for a “Super Saver Back In Site” which is their least expensive. Their “Premium Back-In Sites” are about $95 a night. It’s a little on the expensive side, but this is a beautiful RV park in a great location. We plan on returning this summer!

Capitol West RV Park – West Sacramento, CA

We were so pleased with this park! The sites at Capitol West RV Park are very large and level, with nice clean gravel and large concrete patios.

The entire park is immaculately maintained and the management are incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed here for 5 nights and wish we could have stayed longer.

The campground also has free wifi, that has a nice, strong signal. Some of the sites are also “satellite dish friendly”… a nice way of saying there aren’t many trees to block the satellite view.

There’s so much to do in the area, and Capitol West is so conveniently located, that we still had tons of things we wanted to do when we had to leave.

We’re definitely planning on coming back to this gem of a park.

I would like to tell you about a special campground we stayed at last summer that we will probably continue to visit every year from now on…. it’s called Keowee Falls RV Park.

THis campground has an amazing view of Lake Keowee. The campground has a boat ramp into the lake and storage facilities for boats. They also have playgrounds for the kids and nice walking trails. Their website has regularly updated videos and photos of the campground.

Amenities include a laundromat (additional cost), boat docks, a large beach area, a beach pavilion and grilling area, and fishing ponds. WiFi is available at an additional charge.

All in all our experiences here were hassle free, the people are very kind and helpful. The surrounding area has everything you could want within 5 miles… a grocery store and a super Walmart. Clemson University is right down the road so if you like college football you will have a great time here!

Seligman/Route 66 KOA has the cleanest and nicest bathrooms. Quite impressive. The owner has done a lot of work here.

The campground has all pull thru sites which was very nice after a long day on the road. The campground was pretty quiet, although they do have railroad tracks within a 1/2 mile of the campground they did not blow their whistles so not really a bother. The free wifi was pretty fast and a strong signal. The pool was lovely with a nice deck and nice pool furniture.

They also have a dog park, several camping cabins, horseshoes, a laundry facility, and a playground.

The only other thing is the people working there were very nice and helped me with a problem I had with my fiver. Even letting me use personal tools.

This is our first visit to this area and Carrabelle Beach RV Resort. We feel like we have found a hidden treasure.

The RV park and facilities are very clean. The bathhouse, laundry facilities and recreation room are excellent. The recreation room has a big screen tv, computers, boardgames, cards, reading material, recliners, pooltable, foosball, and exercise equipment.

The pool and the pool area are very nice with plenty of chairs and shade! The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful.

This resort is family and pet friendly. It’s located across the street from the Carrabelle Public Beach with restrooms, picnic area and showers.

We will be back as soon as we can!

Had a wonderful time at Westbrook Beach RV Park last fall. You can camp close to the beach with full hook ups for your RV.

The folks hosting the campground are pleasant and fun to chat with. They have full hook-up and “no hookup” RV sites and tent sites. Full hookup RV sites include power, water and sewer. Sites have fire rings and picnic tables. The campground has wifi, but it’s “limited’.

Amenities include a small convenience store, coin-operated showers, outdoor cleaning stations, a kids playground, volley ball and horseshoe courts, and a private beach. They also have cabins and cottages to rent.

There are lots of things to see and do in the area, so this campground make a great base for exploring this part of California

I highly recommend this campground for it`s beauty, convenience and excellent customer service. I camped here in a 32 ft. RV.

A pleasant surprise as we arrived at this fantastic RV park. The staff was super friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were going to have fun.

Our site was a large pull through on a concrete patio across from the immaculate pool and rec area. The utilities were up to date and easy to hook up. The sites were well treed and provided shade. The front part of the resort is for daily guests while the back part is for permanent or snowbirds with some park models. Everyone was smiling and greeting so I assume everyone felt just about the same as I did. We stayed 3 nights in a motor home with our German Shepherd puppy. Everyone is well pet friendly.

Some of their amenities include a large swimming pool, a playground, clubhouse and fitness center, a laundry, horseshoes and shuffleboard and lots of planned activities.

We toured the area including the Sponge Docks in Tarpon Springs. We took our puppy to the beach at Honeymoon Island State Park which is just down the road. Across the street is the Pinnellas bicycle trail which is paved and 46 miles long. We will be coming back to this area and definitely staying at Dunedin RV Resort again.

Bay Bayou RV Resort – Oldsmar, FL

Bay Bayou RV Resort | RVBuddy.com

We have not stayed at Bay Bayou but visited it to take a tour of the place last week. This is a very nice, almost up-scale campground. The campground is big rig friendly, security gated and just off Hillsborough Avenue, about 1 mile from Race Track Road.

There are 272 oversized sites, each with a patio & picnic table. All sites have sewer, water, 30/50 amp electric service, telephone, 40 channel cable with HBO. They have a beautiful club house with a lending library, big screen TV, pool tables, exercise equipment an adjoining huge pool. The club house has computers and computer hook-ups. There is Wi-Fi access throughout the park, and in the Clubhouse. Plus high-speed DSL to all sites.

The resort is close to shops of all types including Wally World. Not too far from the Tampa Airport… and about 12 miles to the Gulf of Mexico Beachs. Summer rates are $39 to $42. Winter rates are $52 to $56. Better weekly rates and even better monthly.

We toured it in advance of friends coming there from Vermont.

Lion Country Safari KOA – Loxahatchee, FL

Lion Country Safari KOA | RVBuddy.com

Lion Country Safari KOA is located a ways away from things.  The campground is about 10 miles west of the Florida Turnpike on Southern Boulevard. This KOA park is part of and adjacent to a drive-thru safari park, with more than 1000 animals from all over the world.

This is a large park with mostly pull-thrus and full hookups. Very few sites have any shade. The sites have concrete pads and picnic tables. and level grass spots. They have a resort-size pool (open all year), a large camp store, a basketball court, shuffleboard, a volleyball court, a playground and an on-site dog park.

There is no cable tv here but there are many local channels via your antenna or dish. They have a great staff. They also offer discount tickets to the safari park.

This KOA is a short drive to lots of restaurants, shopping, attractions and the beaches of Palm Beach. This location makes for a great base to explore Southern Florida. I recommend it!
