Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy.com

Hitchin Post is the best, new, small, rustic, peaceful, well kept 24 site state of the art full hook-up, pull through, big rig friendly campground so far and I’ve been on the road now for 15 years.

To make it even better the owner’s are the best hard working couple you could ever want in this business. They greeted us with an umbrella so that we didn’t have to get out in the rain at 10 pm to check in. We didn’t even have a reservation on the 4th of July weekend and they even honored our PA discount on top of that!

The roads are clearly big enough to navigate any size rig with or without a tow and there are no obstacles to try to miss, no low hanging limbs.

They have a separate entrance and exit,  long, level site’s some very spacious, 2 fenced in dog parks, corrals and a 50ft round pen for a nice stay over when traveling with horses. They also have vollyball, horseshoes and more games as well as fishing and the best free Wi-Fi yet. We picked blackberries and the owners brought us a dozen of their delicious free range eggs, yummy!

Another great thing is they don’t have residents which is a major plus in my opinion. Very peaceful indeed.  No mosquitos… just a few knats. The campground is very clean and well kept.

This will be one of my favorite parks to stay at when I’m near by. Thank you guys so much for your hard work and wonderful hospitality and congratulations on building such a great place to stay. I am looking forward to watching your campground grow and prosper.

  1. This is an awesome new rv park. Took 3 minutes to get there off the I-10. Nice wide roads thru the park, with a seperate entrance and exit. Big Rig Friendly. We had no problem in or out with our 40 ft country coach with tow and 4 slide outs. 15-30-60 amp full hook up sites with good wi-fi (free) and it actually worked. 75 ft pull thru’s… some are nice and wide, with some backin sites in the wooded area and a creek running down between the campground and park. Nice picnic or group areas. 2 dog parks, some horse corrals. Peaceful, quiet, rustic campground. The owners were very friendly and accomadating to our needs. We will definatly be stopping there again as we travel and will definatly tell others to stop there as well. Have a safe journey and God Bless All

  2. New campground, great little park. Easy on and off freeway. Free wi-fi. They have security cameras and low resolution security lights at night which makes it great. The sites can accommodate up to 70 ft also 25ft wide and a few much bigger. Very peaceful especially in the wooded sites with all the wisteria blooming. They have very nice wide roads with an entrance and an exit. 24 full hook ups with 20-30-60 amp pedestalls that light up yellow at night. 17 sites are pull thru’s and 7 are back in’s in the woods. They have corrals and a round pen for people traveling with their horses as well as a small and large dog park along the creek between the two campgrounds. they also have doggie bag stations thru-out the campground to make it more convenient for us to clean up after our pets. They also have a gazebo and lots of picnic tables and areas with lots of room to walk around and enjoy the rustic surroundings and the wild flowers. The campground is surrounded by beautiful white bushes that smell like jasmine and wisteria grows in most all the wooded sites the owners were very friendly and accommodating later bringing us a dozen fresh eggs from their brahma partridge chickens. We will definately be staying there again and again as they grow and add more to their already welcoming campground We camped at Hitchin Post Corral and Campground in a Motorhome.
