We spent two nights at Bridgeport State Park. We really enjoyed this little oasis in the desert and we will be back! It’s a 748-acre camping park with 7,500 feet of freshwater shoreline on Rufus Woods Lake.

Washington State Parks are always clean and neat and this one was no exception. Space 5, the one we chose was level but difficult to get into because the garbage cans were just opposite, but we made it. Be sure to get reservations because it is full during the summers and check out the sites carefully as few are level-level and some are really slopped.

Amenities include a boat launch, clubhouse, picnic tables, a ranger station, restrooms, a shelter, showers, and a trailer dump station.

While we were there signs indicated the lake water had an algae that was lethal to livestock and pets so no one was swimming, but we were told the fishing was fine.
