We stopped here for a night on our way North. This State Campground is quite large and well equipped. Some facilities were closed because we were off-season, but everything that was open was nice. The grounds and Roads are well maintained by a friendly staff. The electrical systems are being upgraded to accomodate more 30/50amp rigs, but we’re fine with less juice.
The campground is isolated from the Day-Use Beach area with fencing for privacy. The Beach was narrow, but clean. You can see South to Gloucester and North to the Portsmouth, NH Bridge.
Site selection could have been better. We were tired “Roadtrippers” looking for a good night’s sleep, and we were given a site near several families tenting together and having a Pizza Party. This was too minor to complain about, so we just closed our windows.
The park is very close to all the attractions in Salisbury Beach with amusements and eateries everywhere. Over-all, this could be a good location for a family vacation.
