Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy

Towering pine trees and typical size RV sites, La Pine State Park has one thing going for it… Nice hot, free showers.

We like to go to State Park’s in April when they are quiet. La Pine only had a few folks in it and only one loop was open. There are some great hikes and birding was awesome.
If you are in the area, and have nothing but time, check out the Big Tree. The sign advises that it is the largest pine in Oregon. It is a huge tree, but just a tree.
If you time is limited, make sure you plan on at least 2 hours at the High Desert Museum just south of Bend. It is one of the awesome museums that it worth the price and 2 hours will really limit what you see.
