I’m a relatively new RV person so prior to setting out on my adventure I drove the Oregon Coast in my car so that I could make a quick survey of the various parks located between New Port, Oregon and Sacramento California.

I stopped and inspected every RV park I encountered with any potential, I was looking for the size motor coach the park could accommodate, (I have a 40′ coach). electrical hook ups, bathrooms club house management and over all desirability.

At Turtle Rock RV Resort, you’re nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the Forest and a River, you feel as though your miles from the town of Gold Beach but it’s a two-minute drive. You’re escorted to your space and advised on the hook up procedure and assisted if needed, the resorts facilities laundry and bathrooms are clean and well kept. Staff are Friendly and helpful.

Turtle Rock, Turtle Rock hands down Turtle Rock is my RV Park Of Choice. Price, physical size, accommodations and natural beauty Turtle Rock.

  1. We stayed at Loon Lake Lodge and RV Resort (, one of the more scenic Oregon coast RV parks that offers camping, boating and fishing near the coast. It’s an excellent campground that makes a good basecamp for deer and elk hunting! The lodge also offers cabin and yurt rentals. The resort is located about 45 minutes from Reedsport. It offers year-round resort lodging in cabins, yurts and motel rooms, or waterfront camping in scenic tent or RV park sites with full-hookups, satellite TV and Wi-Fi – all on one mile of lake frontage on the scenic Loon Lake. The marina offers jet ski rentals, boat rentals and pontoon boats.
