Camden Hills Campground – Rockport, ME

Camden Hills Campground | RVBuddy.com

Camden Hills is a quiet, attractive, well maintained campground nestled in a peaceful, rural setting. The park is just minutes from both Camden and Rockport Harbors and conveniently located for easy day trips to Bar Harbor, Freeport or Boothbay. Most sites were spacious with plenty of shade. Everyone on the staff were friendly and made us feel at home.

To me, the resort is special and I would rate it excellent for both facilities and recreation. The property is beautifully landscaped, with fresh flowers in the restrooms, wide easy access roads, and thoughtful touches throughout the park.

Amenities include 50/30 amp electricity, city water, sewer, and cable TV connections, a large heated pool and adults-only spa, clean restrooms with free hot showers, a modern laundry, and a store stocked with souvenirs and supplies. Free wi-fi is available 24 hours a day too!

Holiday Trav-L-Park – Chattanooga, TN

Holiday Travel Park | RVBuddy.com

This Holiday Trav-L-Park is one of the cleanest parks we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at.  The staff at this campground is gracious and friendly. The sites are level and shaded, the pool is gigantic, the wi-fi works, and it’s got its own history with a Civil War monument on the premise.

Most of the 170 campsites are pull-through, with water, sewer, 30/50 amp electric, cable TV connections, and they have RV sites up to 70′ for big rigs. They also have camping cabins sleeping up to 5 people with electricity, air conditioning and water spigots. Tent sites are also available.

They are really convenient to I-75…

Southbound I-75 go right at top of ramp, then Left on S Mack Smith Rd (Dunkin’ Donuts) follow signs To Holiday Travel Park On right (Across from Dollar General Store)

Northbound I-75 go left at top of ramp, then left on S Mack Smith Rd (Dunkin’ Donuts) follow signs To Holiday Travel Park On right (Across from Dollar General Store)

Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga is on the right.

Holiday Shores Campground & Resort – Wisconsin Dells, WI

What more could you want? To start out with I love the tall Pine trees along the river that make you feel like you are out West in a National Park. Holiday Shores Campground is one of my favorite places to camp.

There are plenty of activities for the kids here including a very nice swimming pool. They have firetruck rides (in lieu of your standard hay ride). Also, you’ll find rentals of all kinds at this campground from pontoons to speed boats.

The resort has a friendly, customer oriented staff! We even caught several fish from the back of our campsite! Don’t miss the fresh donuts made every morning that rival Krispy Creme. Oh, and don’t forget, it’s just ten minutes away from Wisconsin Dells.

We’ve booked this summer’s stay here already. This will make it our 5th stay here. I recommend Holiday Shores Campground to all of my camping friends!

HideAway Lake RV Park – Tornillo, TX

It may be a great little fishing spot, but please be warned, it comes up as an RV Park – it is NOT!

We were driving through South Texas, very tired and needing an RV park, any park. Exhausted. Put in “RV Park” into our phone, HideAway Lakes RV park popped up. We turned down a very rutted, rough dirt road (glad we were not towing – would have been very difficult to get down the road), drove through an orchard, turned left and found ourselves in the middle of the orchard with two little muddy ponds.

Locals were fishing in the ponds. My husband paid the young lady at the front, got back in the RV and told me to drive around to the end of the little fishing pond where our “deluxe” space was supposed to be. I asked him how much it was. $70. $70! They charged a $10 cat fee for our pet.

We drove around the back, did not see any numbers on “spots,” did not see any electrical boxes, no hose hookups, etc. It was described as a “deluxe” spot, we couldn’t even find the spot! Finally got out, when up to find the young lady again (who had said she was immediately coming out to unlock the electric box but was still in the booth, talking with another young lady).

We expressed our dismay that there were no electrical boxes, very little shade, no water, etc. And mostly about being charged $70! The most we had paid EVER was $40 at an RV park. She apologized for the lack of water, said we could fill up on city water in their office.

The “electricity” was one box in the back, not an RV-park-type box at individual spaces, just the general electric for the fishing pond. Oh, and no bathrooms, just a row of several portapotties. We very nicely told her this was not an RV park, and asked for our money back. She was very polite, called her mom (who, I guess, runs it), and said that yes, we would be refunded.

I expressed surprise that they would charge $60 a night (70 with pets) for no water, very little shade, no real RV spot, just portapotties. She was a very nice girl, and we appreciated her mother giving us our money back. But we felt compelled to warn people that this is basically just a local fishing hole where people come to day-fish. NOT an RV park! And to charge $60, definitely a rip-off!

Drive on 20 minutes to El Paso. I hate giving such negative reviews, especially for small businesses, and hopefully they will be able to eventually equip it with regular RV park amenities, but even then, they need to come down about $30, at least. And they need to not advertise it as an RV park until they do get these basic amenities.

Butterfly Camping Resort – Jackson, NJ

Butterfly Camping Resort is a great campground located about 15 minutes southeast of 6 Flags Great Adventure Theme Park at 360 Butterfly Road.

There are some seasonal campers here. The campground has some pull-thrus and great utilities including full cable TV. You do have to pay for wi-fi. The sites are level gravel with mostly trees for shade.

The office staff was very friendly and accommodating. The camp store has basic groceries and all the usual camping stuff. They have a nice social hall for group meetings and a large pool. The propery is well kept. I would go back without hesitation.

Lehman’s Lakeside RV Resort – Marengo, IL

We loved Lehman’s Lakeside RV Resort. It is a great park to stay. We had the opportunity to camp here a couple of years ago.

It’s out in the country and easy to get to. The sites are wide, level and grassy and you park on gravel or concrete. The management was friendly and accommodating.

We had to change our arrival date due to an emergency and the campground was able to move things around so that we would be able to stay for two weeks in the same site. This is a wonderful park for dogs and walking.

I would recommend this park for Chicago visitors as you can drive to the town (10 min) and take the train downtown.

El Camino Mobile Home and RV Park – Sacaramento, CA

El Camino Campground - Sacramento, CA | RVBuddy.com

I have been looking for a RV park that I could call home when I am in town. I am a wholesale distributor and I like to drive my 5th wheel to the different cities that I service.

At El Camino Mobile Home and RV Park I found the owner and manager both live on site. They showed me the security system they have in place and it is working all of the time. While being showed around the park I had occasion to chat with a couple of tenants. They seemed happy here and gave the owner and managers both good recomendations.

A few other things that I was looking for: Easy freeway access, A large mall just over the freeway, WIFI access and laundry facilities. Park is kept clean and is dog friendly.

The only reason I did not give it 5 stars in my review – I never give anything a perfect score.

Happy Days RV Park – Apache Junction, AZ

What a great RV park!  The park managers are really friendly, very helpful, and they run a tight ship. This park is spotless!

We had a wonderful stay here. The sites are all clean gravel, level, have large concrete patios, full hookups, and they are very wide. There’s plenty of room for large rigs with multiple slide-outs, with space to park your car, and you’ve still got lots of room! No feeling cramped/jammed in here.

I could go on… but it’s easier if you look for yourself. Here’s their website: http://www.happydaysrvpark.com/

Turtle Rock RV Resort – Gold Beach, OR

Turtle Rock RV Resort | RVBuddy.com

We really liked Turtle Rock RV Resort! Even though the RV spaces are gravel they were very level, and very large, lots of grass and space to spread out in.

Our space backed up to the water and we had a great view. There’s a path to Kissing Rock Beach and its an easy walk to get there. The owners and staff were friendly and very helpful. The staff kept the park very clean.

We plan on coming back next summer and staying longer.

Pine Lake RV Park – Fountain, FL

Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy.com

Pine Lake RV Park is a very nice campground. If you like peace and quiet you will love this park. It is far enough away from Panama City for the peace but close enough to visit the city.

They have 100 total large RV sites (60×30) The majority are pull-throughs. 30 and 50 amp service, sun-to-shade, dump station, recreation hall, two large pavilions, laundry, restrooms with showers and phone hook-ups at each site. We found the bathrooms and facilities to be very clean and well maintained.

There is also FREE Wi-Fi throughout our campground. Other amenities include: trash pick-up at all sites (if you leave your bags of trash near the roadside between 5am and 8am thhey pick them up), a 3-mile walking trail, and a gymnasium (fully equipped gym offering weight training and aerobics machines). Fishing is available in their privately-stocked 7 acre lake, so no fishing license is required. Deep sea fishing charter trips are just thirty minutes away.

We would definitely stay here again when we are in the area.
