The Farm RV Resort – London, KY

We stayed almost 3 weeks at The Farm RV Resort in October. It’s a very nice place and super secure! I felt safe letting my kids play because I knew the Resort was checking every person coming in, as a parent I truly appreciated that.

The Shower house was super nice, we had just gotten our camper the day we got to the park and we were having some technical issues figuring out our tank-less water heater, so we used the shower house and it did not disappoint! Hot showers and clean private rooms, what more could you ask for.

The Cafe has awesome pizza and don’t get me started on the milkshakes…. best in the town! Listen! It might be more per night than a state park or local park, but when you take into consideration what ALL you get…From Full hook ups on level concrete pads, to private showers, catch and release pond, swimming pool! Pickle-ball courts and basketball! Honestly too many things to list.

Give it a try, you wont be disappointed!

Eagle’s Nest Village RV Park is an excellent campground in a relaxing town.

The new managers, Greg and Josh, are incredible. They take care of everything and keep the park looking nice. The owners just added propane tank refilling as an amenity, so that’s nice. The hookups worked great, and my dog loved the new dog park.

Site amenities include: picnic tables, extra-long and wide pull-through sites available, full water, sewer, and, electric hookups (with 30 & 50 amp), concrete and gravel surfaces.

Campground amenities include: free WiFi, laundry facilities, dog park, sanitary dump station, clubhouse, general store, free library, and a fishing pond (coming soon)

They’re really making it a family-friendly destination RV park.

Blue Heron RV Park – Hornbrook, CA

Blue Heron RV Park | RVBuddy.com

As all the other reviews about Blue Heron RV Park on other sites will tell you, yes the road is ruff. They just had the largest dam removal and once that is all done they are supposed to come back in and fix the road. That said, this is the cleanest, quietest best rv park we have ever stayed in.

The campground is located right on the Klamath river. Most sites face it which is so nice. They have wild horses that come and visit. It’s so cool to see. The individual campsites are large and staggered so you won’t be looking at your neighbor. Whoever thought of this should get an award. They should all be like this.

Jason is the manager and he couldn’t be any nicer. He comes right out when you arrive and gets you settled. The bathrooms here are immaculate. You will get a spectacular view of Mt. Shasta here, if not clouded in. Good wifi too. There is no cell service here but who needs that.

If you need groceries or a restaurant, Yreka is the closest town, about 20 minutes away. We love this place and we will be back.

Sandhill RV Park was a fantastic RV spot for our family.

Driving through West Texas we wanted a quiet and clean spot that was close to some great fishing and we found it here. The check-in process was easy and the lady who took our reservation we so friendly. The park also had complementary washer and dryer which was very helpful!

We only stayed a few days but we met some others who were parked for several months working on local jobs. Everyone was friendly and welcoming.

South 40 Campground – Petersburg, VA

South 40 Campground - Petersburg, Virginia | RVBuddy.com

My wife and I have been campers most of our married lives. We have camped at literally hundreds of campgrounds all over the country over the past 30 years. We realize that campground reviews can be quite opinionated… each camper has a different set of values they look for in choosing a campground… from quiet and secluded, to active with plenty of amenities.

We travel I-95 in our RV from New England and Florida several times a year. As destination travelers, our “goal” is to get to where we’re going as comfortable as possible. That means we are looking for campgrounds along I-95 that are easy to get to, clean and well maintained, a friendly staff, have all the amenities we need as “overnighters” and are reasonably prices.

South 40 Campground in Petersburg, Virginia is one of those campgrounds. It’s easy to get to, located directly off I-95, exit 41. While it’s just off the exit, it seems miles away once you get there. Quiet, wooded and peaceful.

The amenities we need are all there including full hookups, clean rest rooms, hot showers and laundry facilities. While they also have fishing, hiking trails and a few more recreational opportunities, we don’t really need them or have the time to take them in.

For those who spend a few days there, nearby attractions include Petersburg National Battlefield and the Petersburg Area Art League. Historic Petersburg and Richmond is also within easy reach if you’re looking to explore the area.

In summary, South 40 Campground in Petersburg, Virginia, is our version of a great overnight stop campground for I-95 travelers. It’s convenient, quiet and with just the right amenities for overnight campers.

We had an amazing stay at Laketime RV Ozarks Campground and Boat Launch in Osage Beach, Missouri! The campground is incredibly family-friendly, with plenty of nature and wildlife to enjoy.

The facilities are spotless, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. The views are absolutely beautiful. Loved the variety of campsite sizes! With our 35′ RV, we got a smaller site, which meant we only paid for the space we needed.

We will definitely be staying here again!

Sun Outdoors – Pigeon Forge, TN

Sun Outdoors - Pigeon Forge, Tennessee | RVBuddy.com

We stayed at Sun Outdoors RV Park twice. We have a 33 ft. 5th wheel with 2 slides and had both grandkids with us for the summer.

This campground is easy to find, has a wide paved & lit entrance and easy check in. Our site was a good size, and located around 3 or 4 shower/laundry area’s.  We also had a concrete patio. The sites with trees are good… were able to get the awning out without any problems. The hook ups were clustered together also. The back sections of the park is where the newer rv site additions are. It was a long walk up to the pool area from the back sites though.

Amenities include an aerial adventure park, playground, 2 swimming pools, splashpad, lazy river, hot tub, a dog walk, laundry facilities, RV wash, clean rest rooms and showers, a fitness center, golf cart rentals, basketball and pickleball courts, and an outdoor pavilion and fire pit. There is also a small camping store.

This campground is very clean… with lovely people and we all really enjoyed our time there. We returned there recently on the way to Florida without the kids and we ended up staying extra days and staff moved some people around so that we didn’t have to move. The rates were reasonable considering this is a popular tourist destination.

We have put this park in our return list for sure. Right outside the campground there are restaurants and shopping too.

Thousand Trails Chesapeake Bay – Gloucester, VA

At Thousand Trails Chesapeake Bay campground annuals have the best sites.

The RV park is mostly annual campers it seemed. The other sites are undeveloped and muddy. In my opinion, the rangers are very grumpy and less than helpful. Management the same. There seems to be lots and lots of alcohol use here. I witnessed many drunk people.

This is not a place for families. Children were running around unsupervised. The water and electricity did not work consistently so be prepared. I was even told you need to boil your water before use (when it was working).

The pool was not consistently working. There were large dogs who were suppose to be on leads, but were not. Management was not addressing that issue.
