RVacation RV Park – Selma, NC

Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy.com

RVacation RV Park is located in Selma, North Carolina right off I-95, Exit 98. It’s a great place for an overnight stop – we were headed from Pennsylvania to Central Florida.

The campground office is open until 7:00 pm – helpful when you prefer to stop later or if you need a last minute place due to bad weather. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. Prices were reasonable – $29 – $49; the more expensive sites are 50 amp pull thrus designed for the bigger rigs. In a thunderstorm it was worth the extra money for their ease of access and hookup.

Because of the proximity to the highway and train tracks there is some traffic noise and train noise but it was nothing that impeded us from getting a great nights sleep. We will not hesitate to add it to our short list of places for our “half way there” stop.

Toutle River RV Resort – Castle Rock, WA

I recently rented a motorhome and thought I would tour Washington State. I stopped in at Toutle River RV Resort on I-5 exit 52 on the reccomendation of a buddy of mine. He was there this last summer and said the fishing would be great in the fall. The fishing indeed was great and this campground was over the limit.

What can I say other than it’s fairly new, with easy pull-thru sites for novice rv’ers like myself, and tons of activities within the park and made a great place to stay while I explored the mountains, lakes, and rivers surrounding this resort.

Their Club House is located across the courtyard from their General Store. The Club House features an 11,000 square foot outdoor patio with a large pool and spa. The swimming pool is heated and open from May to September. The pool and separate spa are situated next to private restrooms and showers.

The Clubhouse has it’s own private river rock fire pit with benches, perfect for just relaxing. They also have a poolside patio that has lounge chairs and umbrella tables.

Their general store is located next to the Club House and Pool/Spa Area. They carry basic groceries, RV supplies, beer, wine, camping supplies, movie rentals, propane, ice, and firewood.

What a great campground! Thank you Toutle River RV Resort for a wonderful week.

Avalon Landing RV Park – Pensacola, FL

Avalon Landing RV Park is one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed at in a long time.

They have very, very clean bathrooms and laundry. The pool is small but it was right on he water and it had a great view. Some of the sites are along the road but the campers we talked to on those sites said the noise was not bad at all.

I can not say enough good about the staff. We came in a little after 7:00 pm and even though the office was closed, one of the managers was walking his dog and helped us get backed into our site. They gave us a great idea for a nice Bar-b-que dinner. We even saw them there that night. When we registered the next morning, the lady gave us great suggestions for things to do and maps to avoid high tolls.

We were originally only going to stay there for 2 nights but extended it to a week. If you are in a motorhome they have some nice pull-in sites that face the water, with nice views. We will definitely stay with them again.

Kamp Klamath – Klamath, CA

Kamp Klamath | RVBuddy.com

If you are staying in the Klamath Crescent City area, Kamp Klamath I can say is probably one of the most desireable campgrounds in the area. In the RV section there is some separation. They all have fire pits and picnic tables.

In the other parts of the park there is even more separation and more of an “in the woods” feel.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They will go out of their way to see that you get what you need. The campground is also very pet friendly. Although leashes are required in the camp area’s, the other parts of the property are off leash if you like. There’s plenty of room for ball chasing and exploring. The Saturday night BBQ and live music is well worth the additional price. Great food and great music.

The campground is off the main highway and only about a mile from access to the mouth of the Klamath river. There is seems to be little in the way of cell service around here, at least I couldnt get anything anyway. The Wifi seems a little spotty too… seems to work better around after everyone went to bed. If you don’t have satellite TV you’ll get nothing on a regular antenna. Most RV parks in the area look like grass parking lots. This place doesn’t.

Country Corners RV Park – Caldwell, ID

Country Corners Campground is a nice little RV park located 8 miles north of Caldwell, Idaho with easy access from I-84, just 0.3 miles off of Exit 17.

Nothing fancy here… but they have all the basics and a few nice touches. There’s not much for kids to do but this campground is great for adults who just want to relax and spend a peaceful night… and it’s location makes it a great overnite stopover.

The park was quiet and affordable. Although the property is relatively close to the highway, we really didn’t hear any traffic noise. The facilities were clean and well maintained. They have about 75 sites with about 20 large pull-thru for big rigs. The sites are very nice.  They are comfortably large, level gravel with a picnic table and a small grass area. The park is family owned and the staff was very friendly when we visited this past fall.

Amenities include free wi-fi. The Boise River Festival, Snake River Stampede, and Roaring Springs Water Park are just 15 to 20 minutes away.

It’s a great little campground and we intend to use it whenever we are passing thru the area.

Fall Hollow Campground – Hohenwald, TN

We stayed at Fall Hollow Campground in the spring when everything was in full bloom and the fish were biting!

We could not ask for a more beautiful campground from the walking trails to the clear bottom creek. The owner is hands on and very informative. You can tell he is always wanting to improve the park.

The campground has four clean private bathrooms.

We”ll be back!

Countryside RV Park – Griswold, CT

Countryside RV Park | RVBuddy.com

Countryside RV Park was our last stop of the summer several seasons ago. After trying other parks and being frustrated by the extreme noise, cramped spaces, seeming lack of rules, lack of privacy, and unclean amenities, we came to Countryside and fell in love!

We had never before seen such generous sites in such a picturesque setting. The facilities were super clean, and everyone from the owners to the regular campers were (and are!) friendly. The rules are strict, but to the benefit of everyone’s safety and enjoyment. Before we left, we gave a deposit for the next season, and have remained seasonal campers since.

The campground has full sewer hook-ups in each site, 70% of sites have 50 amp service, 30% of sites have 30 amp service. There are 108 total sites with wooded, lawn, or pond views. The sites are spacious with room between neighbors. The sites are level with campfire rings.

Amenities include a Gathering Room for games/videos, social events, full laundry facilities, Security access gate, quiet areas to sit and relax, a memorial waterfall, and wifi hotspots.

There are plenty of activities in season including a swimming pond and sandy beach, fishing in a separate, stocked fishing pond (catch and release only), hiking and bicycling, a basketball court and horse shoes. There is also a playground with playhouses, sand toys, & lots of outdoor equipment.

Countryside RV Park is Pet friendly too! (registered campers only)

This gem has truly become our home away from home where our children are developing precious memories.

Red Rock RV and Camping Park – Island Park, ID

Red Rock RV Park | RVBuddy.com

I just can not say enough about Red Rock RV and Camping Park! It is located just 20 miles from West Yellowstone, and 5 miles off the main highway.

Big parking pads made it easy to get in and out of our site and the extra large grassy yards gave us plenty of privacy from our neighbors. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A beautiful 360 degree view of the mountains and Henry’s Lake completed the picture perfect vacation. I loved the piece and quiet of being off the main road, and my dogs loved the 6 acre dog park!

Amenities at Red Rock include, full hook-ups (20/30/50 amp), wifi, a propane fill station, a large playground, pickleball court, ping-pong, and tetherball.

The restrooms and shower facilities were very clean and the laundry was a wonderful bonus.

I would recommend this Red Rock RV Park to anyone.

Lake Somerville State Park, Nails Creek Unit – Ledbetter, TX

Lake Somerville State Park | RVBuddy.com

Just before the pandemic started closing things down, we stayed a weekend at this state park. It started raining about an hour after we got parked, and it stopped raining about an hour before we left (both of which made the hitch/unhitch process a little more pleasant, to be sure!).

We had a lovely, quiet weekend, surrounded by trees and the sounds of rain and wildlife. There was a female cardinal who kept pecking at our trailer’s windows, but it was amusing, rather than irritating. The nice thing about the campsite we stayed at is that it (like other nearby sites) are surrounded by trees; you cannot see anything “out there” but the road in front of your site. It’s like having your own little park! The spot is spacious, if you want to pitch a tent for the kids or a friend, with a ground fire-ring with grilling grate, and a picnic table and lantern hook.

We didn’t get to the lake, or any of the other features of this park, because of the weather, but it was a lovely, relaxing, decompressing stay for us anyway. We definitely plan to go back!

Cherry Hill Camping Resort – Kaysville, UT

Cherry Hill RV Park | RVBuddy.com

All I can say is “Wow”! Are you looking for a campground that will keep your kids (and yourself) occupied every minute you’re there? Cherry Hill Camping Resort in Kaysville, Utah is a campground and an amusement park! We stayed a week here last summer and loved every minute of it! The kids hated to leave (actually, we did too but didn’t admit it).

There was tons of stuff to do for kids and young at heart adults… an awesome waterpark with waterslides, waterfalls, olympic sized pool, “Cardiac River Canyon Run”, “Pirate’s Cove” and “Grant’s Gulch Lazy River” rafting. They have an excellent 18-hole mini golf course with beautiful landscaping. Batting cages, climbing walls… really too much to mention here.

It’s a little busy in the summer because a lot of the stuff is open to the public although the camping area is fairly quiet because of all the trees. RV sites level and on concrete pads but the sites are close together making it a bit difficult for slide-outs or awnings. There are plenty of trees for shade so you really don’t need an awning.

We recommend this park and plan on returning this summer!
