Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort - Hilton Head, SC | RVBuddy.com

Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort is a beautiful campground on a barrier island with miles and miles of pristine beaches, numerous restaurants (some are five star others are from one to five), lots of shopping available and almost any entertainment you can think of.

The resort, itself, is the oldest Class A resort in America and has been kept true to the original island greenery with many old oaks, as well as palms, etc. Sites are lovely with many comforts. There is a terrific pool, clubhouse recently upgraded but with the same atmosphere as when it was originally built, world class tennis courts, well kept paved roads and sites where some have original aggregate and others have beautiful pavers. All have wi-fi and 50amp electricity and water. Most have gardens.

Our resort has the nick name of “Paradise”. My husband and I bought our spot the very first time we visited. You can come to visit too but be fore-warned, you may have to do the same before stepping out the gate to leave, as we did!… some nine years ago.

We enjoy our office staff and work campers and the atmosphere of camaraderie that exists here. If you play golf, you absolutely must come for the fine Clubs on the Island. This is where the Heritage is played each Spring.

Crossroads RV Park – Mohave Valley, AZ

Crossroads RV Park | RVBuddy.com

Crossroads RV park is a very affordable, safe, newly renovated and fully modernized 55+ senior desert community. It’s conveniently located to enjoy all of the exciting local attractions, but secluded enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of the beautiful Arizona desert. You can do as much or as little as you want here. Crossroads RV Park is good for people that want a simpler lifestyle, without all the extras, scheduled activities and added costs of a luxurious resort.

Escape the noisy traffic and rivercraft, the crowds and the crime of other Bullhead City area RV parks. Simply enjoy the beauty of the natural desert, the smell of sage in the air and the brilliance of the star-filled night sky. Just kick back, with peace of mind, and enjoy the famous Arizona sunsets, mountain views and brilliant stars — unobscured by the city lights of Bullhead City and Laughlin.

The owners and management have really stepped things up here and offer great amenities and customer service. Whether your planning to visit for a week, stay for a season or keep a year-round park model, Crossroads has great offers for everyone. Definitely worth checking out.

Deer Run Resort – Elkader, IA

Deer Run Resort is one of the nicest campgrounds we have been to in a long time. Our family stayed here last August. The grounds and landscaping are beautiful.

The resort has 80 paved sites with full hookups including water, sewer and 30-50 amp electricity. The sites are big and level… even the largest rig won’t have any issues here. Every site has a patio, fire ring and picnic table.

The entire resort is very well maintained. The office, restrooms, showers and laundry looked quite new. The campground staff were super friendly and we felt right at home. They were always ready to help us with suggestions on what to see and do in the area. The interior roads are paved, wide and easy to manuver. Roads are also lighted at night, (with beautifully stylish light poles) which made our evening walks so much fun.

The only issue we had was that the Wi-Fi signal, it was a little spotty, but acceptable. and there was no cable TV. Nevertheless, we plan on returning next summer!

Mission Bay RV Resort – San Diego, CA

I have had a very pleasant stay Mission Bay RV resort.

There are two small laundry rooms but they do the job. Security is excellent and very friendly. The sites are larger than in most parks. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to my rv needs. I didn’t use shower or bath so I don’t know about that.

What I do love about this park is the perfect location. Just a hop skip and a jump to the freeway, although it is far enough away not to hear it. It is very close to excellent and numerous bike trails and jogging trails. Right out the gate is a long lit walking trail that goes by the bay and has the most beautiful sunsets. Cable TV is very good with lots of great channels and even though I was in the back of campground I got good WIFI.

Amentites also include a large pavilion and lounge with games and recreational activities, convenience items such as ice and firewood are for sale at the front desk

Management has taken the time to plant lots of trees and bushes that add to the atmosphere of the campground and really dress it up!

I really have no complaints and after seeing the other RV parks nearby where people are packed like sardines, I think this was a good choice.

OBX Campgrounds – Kill Devil Hills, NC

I highly recommend OBX Campgrounds on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It is a fairly new campground.

They have 56 sites, only for RVs, no tents. Each site has a full hookup including cable, electric, water and sewer. Each site is level and has a gravel base. Being new, the bath houses are very nice, clean, with lots of room in them. Only a few sites have trees, the rest are open, but there is plenty of room between each site.

We stayed five days in October 2019. A transportation vehicle is needed to go the the beach and see the sights in the area. This campgrounds is away from the main road and is a little less expensive than the others.

Before finding this campground we stayed one night at Kitty Hawk RV Park, which I would not recommend, it was not much more than a sand parking lot.

Holiday Trav-L-Park – Virginia Beach, VA

Holiday Trav-L-Park | RVBuddy.com

Holiday Trav-L-Park is a large, (over 1000 sites!) modern, well maintained campground with a friendly staff.

Sites are mostly level with some shady. Although a bit expensive, you’ve got to check out their “supersites”… they are roomy pull-through sites with paved entries and exits. These sites feature a large concrete pad with extended patio, a fire pit, picnic table, attractive landscaping, and full hookup pedestal including cable TV. Some supersites can accommodate combinations up to 90 feet long!

In season the beach trolley comes right into the park. They also have their own parking lot near the beach for beach goers. The campground is located about 3 miles south of the main beach area.

They also have rustic cabins, 24-hour security, a bike path directly to the beach, 8 comfort stations, 3 dump stations, 4 playgrounds, 4 large pools, a huge game room, a very impressive mini-golf course, 2 camp stores offering gifts, groceries, and supplies, basketball, volleyball, horseshoes and recreation facilities throughout the park! They also have a nice “Safaru Cafe” a snack bar featuring sandwiches, breakfasts, snacks, ice cream and more. Open seasonally. The campground is also pet-friendly!

During the in-season, you can listen to some of the best bands, DJs or entertainers at the main pool or the Pavilion. There’s also nightly bingo, evening hayrides and cartoon movies for the kids. They also have event weekends throughout the year.

This is a great campground with lot’s of amenities and things to do. Eastern Virginia is a vacation paradise, with beaches, theme parks, historic places, and shopping and Holiday Trav-L-Park is a perfect base for exploring the region.

Carlsbad KOA – Carlsbad, NM

Carlsbad KOA | RVBuddy.com

This is a great KOA park. It is a bit out of the way (about an hour from the caverns), and being in the middle of desert land can get quite windy, dusty and hot. The very nice landscaping is still very young so there is no shade.

It is also on the pricey side at $50+ per night. However, the camp hosts are probably the best we have ever run across. They are very accommodating and make you feel like you are a guest. None of this closing at 8:00 pm and never seeing anyone again.

They escorted us to our site, stood around and visited for a few minutes and actually had a little bottle of bleach solution that he poured on the faucet just to sanitize! I’ve never seen this before.

The sites are nice and level and our site had two dump valves to accommodate adjusting your rig so it’s positioned as your prefer. The playground is nice, the pool is great, and the restrooms are completely unbelievable.

Continuing a long tradition started by the original owners, they serve smoked meats and traditional sides that they will deliver right to your site.

Enota Mountain Retreat – Hiawasee, GA

Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy.com

We were delighted with the unexpected comfort and peace at Enota Retreat. The beauty of the North Georgia Mountains is captured in this sanctuary.

The campsites were exceptionally maintained. Our site (#18), had a deck overlooking a flowing stream which allowed for a flock of Cajun Crecent ducks to pass by twice a day. We hiked endless miles of trails straight from camp, including the A-Trail. The waterfalls were a spectacular end to our day hikes, and pictures simply can’t do them justice.

The acreage is expansive at Enota, and no sites are cramped together. The campfires are great in conjunction with the constant sounds of flowing water, and we found the most peaceful rest we have had in a long time. The staff took a special interest in making us welcome and comfortable.

We will be returning annually, and we truly believe that this is a must-stay for campers coming to the area. We’ve already invited all of our friends for the next trip.

Big Oaks Family Campground – Rehoboth Beach, DE

Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy

Thank goodness for great friends! They have been asking us to camp with them for years. Since our children are now teenagers with two planning their college days, we felt it was time to deliver on our promise… so last summer we went to Big Oaks!

Big Oaks Family Campground provided the perfect setting. The abundance of trees provided perfect shade, while the sparkling clean pool and well-maintained bathhouses with squeeky clean private showers added to our enjoyment. Not having camped since my husband and I were children, we opted to rent a cabin instead of using our tent. Again, we found our accommodations to be clean, neat and placed on a quiet cul-de-sac within 50 yards of the bathhouse. In addition, the campground’s proximity to both Rehoboth Beach and Boardwalk and Cape Henlopen’s Beach can’t be beat!

Big Oaks Campground has lots of activities during the summer season. Dancing, art contests, bingo, or join one of their tournaments (basketball, horseshoes, shuffleboard, or billiards).

The campground schedules their activities on Saturday evenings, and because some of their activities are held outside, can be weather dependent.

Amenities include a swimming pool, playground, game room, camp store, shuttle service, bath facilities, shuffleboard, picnic tables, fire rings, horseshoes, basketball court, laundry and free Wi-Fi at certain central locations.

Nearby are biking trails, the historic town of Lewes, Rehoboth Beach boardwalk, Deep-sea fishing, clamming and fishing, scuba diving, golf, water slides, outlet shopping, summer theater, art festivals, antique shops, restaurants, stores, laundromat, hardware, movies, churches, hospitals and doctors.

Thanks to Big Oaks Family Campground for a memorable experience we will be talking about for years to come.

Walkabout Camp and RV Park – Woodbine, GA

Walkabout Camp and RV Park | RVBuddy.com

We stayed Walkabout Camp and RV Park on our way south to Florida this past spring. This is a nice little park with great owners. It’s not a destination park, but great for a short stay to explore the area or an overnight stopover when traveling I-95.

The campground is conveniently located at Exit 7 on I-95 between the city of Woodbine and Kingsland Georgia. 70 Full Hook Up. 30 and 50 amp sites… and all sites are pull thru!

Their amenities include a pavilion, pool, a clubhouse, laundry facilities, clean bathrooms, a dog park run, nature trails, a pickleball court and basketball court.

Their location is close to Historical St Marys, Amelia Island, Woodbine Opry, Cumberland Island, Okefenokee National Park Wildlife Refuge, Fernandina Beach, Submarine Museum, Jacksonville Zoo and more.

We will definately stop here again.

This is our second trip here. Great people and a nice little park. Again, not a destination park, but great for a short stay to look around the area or to rest on a trip.
