Frenchman’s Wilderness Campground has well maintained grounds, very clean bathrooms, and a friendly and helpful staff. We camped here in a 35 foot motorhome.
The campground is located in the Atchafalaya Basin east of Henderson, LA and west of Baton Rouge, LA at Mile Marker 121 on Interstate 10. They are 7\10ths of a mile south of the Interstate on the right hand side.
We Will definitely return.
Bonanza Terrace RV Park is a little hillside gem!
The campground has great vista for viewing city lights at night. They have clean bathrooms and the grounds are well maintained.
We Can’t wait to check it out this summer.
All I can say is, WOW! We stayed at Pine Lake RV Park years ago, looks like the new owner is doing a great job! We will be going back to this park again and again.
They have new asphalt at the entrance, a new clubhouse, a workout gym that is fully loaded and more. The staff is great, they escorted us to your site, offered to hook us up and let us know what is going on in the area.
Everyone waves and says hello, people stop and take the time to welcome you to the area. They are making improvements every day, from landscaping, remodeling buildings and expanding their services. Looks like they are going into the mail forwarding business and pack and ship. They even have a notary on staff, she was teasing us about renewing our vows at the park (maybe if I can talk my husband into it we will the next time there)!
If you are ever in the area make sure you stop and see the park and meet the staff!
The Springville / Provo KOA is by far one of the best maintained and friendliest KOA’s me and my wife have stayed at.
This campground is conveniently located to the freeway and many nearby activities (Thanksgiving point, Timpanogos Cave and our personal favorite, the Springville Museum of art which was free!).
Each time we’ve stayed the facilities have been kept clean and maintained. The park offers all full hook-up pull through sites each with their own little grassy yard area. The only drawback we experienced was that the wifi was down which we later discovered was because of system improvements to expand coverage.
Overall we loved Springville / Provo KOA and will continue to return when in the area.
The Avi Resort and Casino’s KOA backs to the Mojave Golf Resort and offers many great amenities such as astonishing views of the golf course, picnic area with grills, children’s play area, dog run and more!
Just a short walk across the street is the Avi Resort & Casino which as a guest of the KOA allows you to utilize the many great amenities the Avi has to offer such as access to the largest beach on the river, guest only pool offering a luxuries water fall, hot tub, children’s pool and Tiki Bar, Boat Launch and much more!
This is One of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed at in a long time, and one of the best in Florida.
We had such a great time there. The staff was super accommodating. We felt so welcomed. Our site was nice and there were plenty of activities going on while we were there.
The campground and facilities were clean and well maintained. The heated pool was perfect! The Coyote Market and Coyote Grille Restaurant right on the property made it really convenient. There\’s also free Wi-Fi throughout the park.
There are trails perfect for bike rides, walking and running throughout the park too!
Ft Pierce has lots of great restaurants nearby and the beaches were just beautiful.
It’s been a few years since we’ve last visited Pine Valley KOA. We’ve always been happy with our stay here so we decided to stop back for a long weekend of camping.
Check-in was quick and the staff were very polite. We were escorted to and assisted into our site. Our site (#59) wasn’t particularly roomy and it took some time before we got our trailer level, but it was for only a couple of days so we were OK with it. Only a smaller RVs would work at this site.
The campground has added a number of amenities since our last stay. The camping cabins are really nice and each one was built with unique features. There are also a number of sites with premium amenities as well.
The property is well maintained and the facilities are spotless. There are several restroom/shower facilities located throughout the park so you don’t have to walk far from your campsite to use them. Garbage and recyclables are collected every morning right in front of your site.
This KOA is located on US Route 4 and less than a mile from I-89. Despite it’s location, it was relatively quiet at night.
Across the street from the campground entrance is a the Route 4 Country Store Deli & Bar-B-Que with great food, groceries and ice cream! Quechee Gorge, Vermont’s little Grand Canyon is only a couple of miles west on US Route 4… along with gift shops, restaurants and antique shopping stops. A few more miles west is the town of Woodstock, a beautiful New England village you can spend hours exploring.
Quechee/Pine Valley KOA makes a great overnight stop if you’re passing thru or a convenient base for exploring the area. We’ll be back!
American Wilderness Campground was well maintained, but the restrooms are pit toilet (out houses) which we were told when booking we would be near the restroom area if we wished to use them, due to not having sewage, but did not explain they were outhouses.
The deal breaker was my family came in to visit us we traveled to see. They charge $6.00 per person to enter campgrounds, and no exceptions. It cost us $30.00 per day for my family to visit us, while we stayed at the campgrounds. The excess was they would use the facility activities. It’s was October and everything in the campground was closed except the game room, and not very many 55 plus people usually use those.
I just can not recommend this campground, and would not return their. Can not understand why Good Sams recommends them, they just missed on this one.
We found a great new campground that we’ll be adding to our list of regular stops on our way to and from Florida. Camp Lake Jasper RV Resort is located just minutes off of Interstate 95 at Exit 8, “The Gateway to Hilton Head Island”.
When we arrived we were met by friendly staff and a quick check in. They even lead us to our site. Camp sites are level on dirt and stonedust. Sites have full hookups including cable tv and wi-fi. Each has a picnic table and fire ring. We had a pull through site that had plenty of room for our large motorhome. The entire property, bathrooms, and laundry facilities were clean and well maintained… everything was in perfect condition.
They have a very nice General Store with camping supplies, gifts, groceries and a Café. Their Lakeside Center includes a new swimming pool, pavilion, community fire pit, horseshoe pit, and a gas grill. They have a very nice dock with the covered roof and deck chairs where you can just sit and relax and enjoyed the view. It’s really a beautiful campground. Sergeant Jasper State Park, a 320 acre nature preserve, is right next door and has very nice hiking trails around the lake itself.
Camp Lake Jasper RV Resort is about 15 minutes from a large outlet mall and plenty of restaurants. Also, Savannah is not too far away.
Whippoorwill Lake Campground was a nice, clean place to stay. It is a privately owned facility that have very nice owners. The 12 acre lake was nice to swim in. They also have a big beach area, with a hard maple on one end to sit under if you’re trying to dodge the sun while watching the kids swim. You can also fish in the lake.
Rustic cabins, tent sites, and RV sites are available at this campground. The RV sites are spacious but are a little uneven in spots. The owner advised no outside wood could be brought in for the firepits. They did supply free firewood but it wasn’t very good. It burned quick and you had to pay for more firewood if needed.
Each RV site had a picnic table that could be moved around to your liking. That was great, since some places weren’t very level. The bathrooms were small but looked like they were being upgraded. Showers with hot water and flushable toilets were available.
RV sites were along one side, instead of being “around” the lake. Also, some of the tent sites are on a slope. There is a play area for kids which isn’t very big. They also have a nice open pavillion with a jukebox that would be fun for a gathering.
We enjoyed ourselves and would go back again for another stay, but are eager to try other places around Missouri.
