Lazydays RV Park - Tampa, FL | RVBuddy.com

Lazydays RV Campground is located just off I-4, exit 10 and less than 2 miles from I-75, exit 261.  It’s a very convenient location for exploring the Tampa/St. Pete area and less than an hour to Disney.

It’s really nice here. Check-in was quick and the staff was extremely friendly. The grounds and facilities are clean and very well maintained.  The sites are large enough for easy in/out even with a big RV.  There are 300 RV sites with full 50-amp hookups. They have lots of nice amenities… a screened and heated pool with hot tub, tennis, horseshoes, volleyball, laundry, a huge air-conditioned Rally Center, and lots of scheduled activities for the kids.

You can get breakfast and lunch at “Front Porch Restaurant” right on-site. There’s also a restaurant and pub right in the Rally Center. They also have free wi-fi, cable tv and complementary morning newspaper.

It’s truly a destination resort. We will be staying here again!

Carolina Crossroads RV Resort - Roanoke Rapids, NC | RVBuddy.com

We stayed at RV Resort at Carolina Crossroad on our way back from Florida this past spring.

This campground conveniently located less than a mile from I-95, exit 171 in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. This resort is relatively new and the facilities reflect that. During our stay here we had the opportunity to use most of the facilities. The bathrooms,  laundry and public area’s were clean and well maintained. Amenities included free wi-fi, cable tv, hot tub and a new heated pool. They have a large covered pavilion and meeting room with a full kitchen. They even have a 9-hole mini golf course that’s free for campers.

All campsites are pull-thrus, full-hookups with 50/30 amps, 65 to 70 feet long and 35 feet wide. The campground looks like it was designed to be big-rig friendly. There are wide paved interior road for easy manuvering even in the biggest RVs. There is security on site 24 hours a day. The resort is also pet-friendly! rates are very reasonable… we paid $30 a night for a full hook-up pull-thru.

There are also around 30 restaurants located within 3 miles of the campground.

This resort is geared more for the “mature” camper. It’s a great overnight stopover and very quiet at night.

Red Gate is a beautiful campground.  We really loved our stay here. It’s located about 7 miles from I-95, exit 99 and just a short drive to downtown Savannah.

The facilities are clean and well maintained and the property is beautifully groomed. The owners are great people and really made us feel welcomed. Sites are full hook-ups with 30-50 amp service. Picnic tables and fire pits, screened and open pavilions and over 25 acres of fishing ponds. They also have WiFi.

Because of it’s location, Red Gate makes a great stopover for I-95 travelers. You may just decide to stay an extra day or two.

Rainbow Lake Campground and RV Park – Rexburg, ID

This is a great campground to stop at when you’re headed to Yellowstone. The park is clean, quiet and well maintained. The sites are a little on the small side but not bad for an overnight stop.

The entire campground is grass with a few trees here and there. Sites and interior roads are gravel. The campground owners (an older couple) are very sociable and go out of their way to answer your questions. The husband guided us to our campsite and helped us back in. The property is located on a small lake and you can fish for rainbow trout.

Wells Beach Resort is an RV Park located right on busy US Route 1 in the heart of the popular Maine southern coastal area. Tucked away on a relatively small parcel of property are over 200 sites.

Traveling up busy US Route 1 Wells Beach Resort may be a bit difficult to spot… just keep your eyes pealed for the McDonald’s, the campground entrance is located right next to it.

There is also a boat launch ramp, so you can bring your boat for fishing or water skiing. The camp store is well-equipped and the park is perfect for families looking for summer fun. The treed environment, beautiful landscaping and rolling lawns is just beautiful.

Colorado River Oasis – Bullhead City, AZ

The new owners at Colorado River Oasis have obviously been pouring a lot of money into the park. The clubhouse, sandy beach, boat dock, palm trees, laundry and gym are all brand new or completely renovated.

The sites are very wide and level gravel back-ins with rock solid 50-amp service from excellent power pedestals. There was a big community dinner in the clubhouse while we were there, and several people encouraged us to come join in.

Colorado River Oasis is a very friendly place, including the owners, and we would definitely return.

Likely Place Golf and RV Resort – Likley, CA

Likely Place is a bit off the beaten path, but if a quiet, natural setting is what turns you on, this is the best place to be fully-hooked up in your RV.

If long pull-thrus and 50-amp electric are not exactly roughing it though, considering the remote beauty all around here. The night skies here are really, really dark, so the stargazing is incredible. If you’re into golf, they have a nice 18-hole golf course and a driving range, all with stellar views of the Warner Mountains. The on-site restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch, and is also available for catered dinners.

We loved the free Wi-Fi too.
