Picacho Peak RV Resort – Picacho, AZ

We are parked at Picacho Peak RV Resort as this is being written. We are recently retired and this is our first winter south. After a lot of internet searching, we picked this park for it’s location, it’s 55+ age restrictions, and the price. And believe me, for the price this place is perfect.

This resort is in the “country”‘ but within short driving distance of Tucson, Casa Grande, and great tourist attractions like Tombstone. The management is friendly, and there are a lot of guests that return year after year. We are already considering purchasing a park model and have some great options from which to choose.

While there are railroad tracks and highway I-10 close by, these do not bother us at all. One of the other things that we were impressed with is the size of the lots.  Many more expensive parks cram units into their parks. Here we have lots of space and don’t feel like we’re on top of the next guy.

Disregard the “lonely” location and give this place a try. You’ll love it.

This is a very nice park with a beautiful view of the mountain peak. We plan to stay here again. It’s right next to the Ostrich farm tho not quite walking distance. The only drawback that we could see is the water at the park is not recommended for drinking or cooking. Something about something in it. They do have water machines for .25 a gallon.
