Eagle Ridge RV Park is located about 1 mile from I-35. We phoned in the morning to see if they had WiFi. It’s very important for us and if they didn’t have it we wouldn’t be staying. We were told it was in available the store. We arrived there just after 6pm and asked the manager if the WiFi was up. He said huh, what’s that?

Obviously they didn’t have WiFi. They also advertise cable TV, and this too was a non-event.If you want a campground with good prices for full hook-ups (16.00) with easy access, then this is the one for you. But If you want a campground with good facilities and some TV or WiFi, then this is definitely not the place.

I wont stay there again on principle. I don’t like managers who lie, just to get you into the park.

  1. Eagle Ridge RV Park is very convent to interstate 35.it’s setting is little slice of country living. In lot of campgrounds you’re within spitting distance of your neighbor, but not here. Instead, we had peace and quiet and privacy surrounded by beautiful vista from our ridge-top-perch.
Best of all the hospitality of the new owners, the Harris, a young couple putting everything they’ve got into making this once neglected campground into a friendly, welcome destination.
The campground is still a work in progress. Some of the sites need leveling and there’s no cable, but we didn’t miss it. We just soaked up the relaxing atmosphere and enjoyed our time in this rural oasis.
One thing for sure, we’ll be stopping back next time we’re in that neck of woods and we’re betting that it will be even better than before.

  2. Eagle Ridge is under new ownership and really taking a turn for the better. The grounds are well kept and the owners are very friendly. WiFi is available in your rig, nice pool, great party pavilion, and very restful. Situated on about 25 acres and a pond (needs work) as well. Hiking trail that goes around the pond; all the mulberries and blackberries you can eat. I WILL be back.

  3. This campground will be under new management as of the end of Oct. 2009. WIFI is now available in some areas of the park. We hope to have it available to all sites soon. Bathrooms will be remodeled during this winter. This is a beautiful park and the new owners will be putting some money and TLC into this park. Please give us another chance! This is a perfect resting spot 1/2 way between DSM and KC.
