Loon Lake Lodge and RV Resort – Reedsport, OR

Loon Lake Lodge | RVBuddy.com

Loon Lake Lodge and RV Resort is set on one of the most beautiful lakes we have seen in Oregon. The resort is located a half hour from the Oregon Coast just outside Reedsport.

The rv area is set alongside the marina which offers jet ski, waverunner, and other boat rentals. We had a blast riding the jet skis and waverunners and even got a workout in the canoes. The bathrooms and laundry were clean and spotless during our stay.

Their marina and snack shop is open during the summer and has beach vollyball. Their campsites accommodate RVers and tent campers, RV sites have water and electric hookups and tent sites are located throughout the resort. They also have luxury cabins with 1 or 2 bedrooms, full kitchens with dishes and cooking necessities. The cabins also include a living room with a sofa bed, for that extra person. There is also a television in the living room and each bedroom.

All in all, a great little complex with a variety of accommodations and things to do while you’re there. I recommend it!

Lake Greenwood Motorcoach Resort – Cross Hill, SC

Last fall I took a little weekend getaway to Lake Greenwood Motorcoach Resort in Cross Hill, South Carolina and wanted to share some feedback about this wonderful lakeside retreat.

It was the most relaxing weekend I have had in quite some time. The grounds were impeccable (gorgeous landscaping, tons of lots each situated so the owner will have a fantastic view of the lake), the property manager was super helpful and went out of his way to make our stay great. The clubhouse, including pool, jacuzzi and lounge are beautiful, and their amenities are first-class. They also have boat rentals as well as wet and dry storage for boats brought by lot owners.

The lake is absolutely beautiful and the resort is in a great spot. Just a boat ride away from the marina and several restaurants. It is also just a few miles from Greenwood, South Carolina which is very convenient if you are looking for a little variety.

Bottom line, Lake Greenwood Motorcoach Resort definitely got a BIG thumbs up from me and I highly recommend checking it out.

This is the first time we stopped at Santa Nella Rv Park. We have been talking about it for a very long time but never had the oppertunity to do so.

The park is an older campground but it is in great condition and the staff was very friendly and know what they are talking about. They don’t have alot of amenities but they have the ones that are important like free hot showers, wifi, cable TV and laundry mat. The bathroom was very clean and neat. The park was very clean and neat and the rates a reasonable and it is about a 1/2 mile from Interstate 5.

I would stay here again and recommend it to my friends and anyone else who asked.

Turtle Rock Resort – Gold Beach, OR

Turtle Rock Resort is by far the best RV park we have ever stayed at.

We were driving up the Southern Oregon Coast and needed a place to stay for the night. We pulled up and were immediately invited to a community barbecue that took place in the Resort’s beautifully finished common room (full kitchen, large flat screen tv, extensive library, movies…). We were treated to live music by one of the guests, a delicious potluck meal and a slide show of the surrounding area put together by another guest.

It was like finding an oasis. We were surprised once again when we went to take a shower to find a double shower head with double benches in their very clean, newly finished restrooms. There is a trail directly from the Resort to the beach which we enjoyed in the morning.

We don’t generally stay at RV parks unless our Pleasure Way van needs a night of being plugged in, preferring state parks. RV parks to us are usually just concrete slabs so the Turtle Rock Resort was a pleasant and unexpected surprise.

Don’t miss it. It’s a great place to use as a base for exploring the spectacular Southern Oregon Coast.

Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy

Tahoe Valley Campground is a nice park with a wonderful ambiance among the tall trees of this scenic valley. The park is located right in town and close to all the casinos, yet it’s tucked away and back in among trees, so you really feel like you are in the boonies.

The campground more than 400 sites, full hookups, pull-troughs, with water, electric and sewer. The staff was wonderful, very friendly and accommodating… they didn’t know the meaning of the word “no”. One nice touch when we checked in: a member of the staff will drive you around to select your site in a golf cart!

Tahoe Valley Campground had a good variety of amenities including a playground area, pool, basketball and tennis courts, horseshoe pits, a general store, laundry, wi-fi and more.

During the summer, they have all types of activities, like a pancake breakfast every Saturday and Sunday, arts and crafts and three live music events over the season. The campground is pet-friendly too!

There’s shopping nearby! Great atmosphere. Will be back again and recommend this park to our friends.

I must tell you about an excellent campground our family stayed at recently.

The Santa Cruz/Monterey Bay KOA is an older campground but very well maintained. The park has some beautiful landscaping and many of the sites are wooded. The restrooms and showers are clean and the staff was helpful and friendly.

They have a year round heated pool, bike rentals and a nice video game room for the kids. Other amenities include a hot tub, KOA Express Fun Train, large playground, basketball court, bike rentals, an outdoor cinema, campfire theater, and also a dog park.

The property is only one mile to the Pacific Ocean so you could walk to the beach. This is a great location to explore the Monterey Bay area… Monterey Bay Aquarium, Fisherman’s Wharf, Santa Cruz Boardwalk, or Pebble Beach golf course.

This campground makes a great base camp for exploring the California coast and was a great place to stay.

Denton Ferry is a beautiful RV park located right on the White River. Great views! Trout fishing right at the campground. The park is quiet, clean and well maintained. Staff was extremely friendly and available most of the time.

Denton Ferry RV Park small, with only 44 sites, all with full service hook-ups (50/30 amp electric, water and sewer). Roads are paved and comfortably wide. There are 17 riverfront sites and 27 pull-thrus.

There’s a really cool riverside walking park with two natural spring fed ponds and a picturesque meadow.

The clubhouse/office area is very nice with a small convenience store that stocks a limited amount of groceries and camping supplies. Very nice lounge area too. Facilities were neat and clean. The “community” fire pit is a nice touch. There is also biking trails, boat rentals, laundry, a hospitality room with TV, games, dining areas, and library open to all guests. There’s also shopping and golf nearby.

This is one of the nicest RV parks we’ve ever stayed. I recommend it to all my friends.

Wild Duck Campground is a 70 site, Adult-only campground (not even any visitors under 21 allowed), located in the middle of Maine Audubon’s Scarborough Marsh, state’s largest salt water marsh, and Maine Audubon’s property.. The park is very quiet and clean, with a helpful staff. We camped here last August for a long weekend.

The Scarborough Marsh is the state’s largest salt water marsh and can be explored by foot or canoe. You can bring your own canoe or kayak or rent one from the campground.

Adirondack Camping Village is a family operated campground located in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains at the northern edge of Lake George Village. It’s a quiet, well maintained park just far enough away from the traffic and crowds of the village yet close enough to be convenient.

Campsites are mostly wooded with plenty of shade. The campground staff were very friendly and the facilities were clean and well maintained. This park has over 160 campsites (full hookups (50 and 30-amp), water & electric (20 & 30 amp), seasonal sites, 3 restrooms, each with hot showers, camp store (ice, wood, groceries, camping supplies, gifts, antiques), dumping station, and laundry facilities
