Nantahala RV Resort – Bryson City, NC

Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy

Where do I start? We booked a 4 night stay at Nantahala RV Resort along with some friends who booked the site right next ours. We arrived to find a peaceful setting but no office or management on site. We were left to find our own sites using our reservation confirmation. The sites are a decent size, but all loose gravel. It’s difficult to walk on, and no grass for the dogs. The fact that there was no camp management on site left us with a sense of unease if there were to be an emergency of any kind.

After we were settled in, the camp owner showed up to inform us he had arbitrarily changed one of our site numbers which meant we were separated from our friends by several sites. In my opinion he was somewhat rude when he informed us and was unwilling to compromise in any way. We had to unhook everything and move.

We are aware that this is a new campground facility, but there is a definite lack of experience and common sense with this owner. Hopefully he will improve in time but we won’t be back.

Kamp Klamath - Klamath, California | RVBuddy.com

We had an awesome time at Kamp Klamath! Wooded, Secluded, peaceful, are a few of the words that immediately come to mind. This is really a special place.

We stayed here for a week this past July. A large party of us… one set in a tent, the other in a fifth wheel RV. The camp was so accommodating for us all to be on a single site together.

We stayed for the Saturday night BBQ. It was very reasonably priced and well worth every penny. Smoked salmon or chicken, whichever you like plus salad, veggies, and rice. It was an amazing time. Gary and Holly are the owners… the nicest couple you’ll ever meet.

The staff here are wonderful and helpful and point you out to places that aren’t on any tourist map. You will have the best time if you camp at Kamp Klamath. It’s worth the 2 mile drive off the freeway! We will be coming back!!!

Actually, San Francisco RV Resort is located in Pacifica, just off highway 1 and about 15 miles south of San Francisco.

This is a super campground. It’s well kept and has a great staff. Best of all, it’s located right on the Pacific Ocean. They offer full hookups and cable TV. They have Free Wifi. There is complimentary use of a guest computer and printer in the Office.

The campsites are paved but just a little narrow if you have a slide out. An Enterprise car rental outlet is located just 2 blocks away. This is a great location convenient to I-280, Highway 1, and the Skyline Drive.

San Francisco RV Resort is a definite A+.

LaFeria East RV Park - LaFeria Texas | RVBuddy.com

VIP – La Feria East RV Park is a great place to stay. We were just there last winter and couldn’t believe how friendly everyone was. The managers were just the greatest… from start to finish, they were helpful, friendly, and always available!

The park is large, split in two by North Parker Road. Each side of the park could be their own entity, with separate clubhouses, pools, spas, laundry, etc! It’s like getting two, two, two parks in one! LOL!

We had a really nice time during our stay here this winter and will definitely be back!

Black Bear RV Resort and Campground – Howard, CO

Black Bear RV Resort - Howard, Colorado | RVBuddy.com

Black Bear RV Resort and Campground is located in Howard, Colorado on US Hwy 50 between Pueblo and Salida. It has about 9 pull thrus with big rig access and tiered sites with 30/50amp service.

Although water is at one end and sewer/electric at other, management has extra water hose at no extra cost. The campground has hot showers and restrooms, a play ground, and a cafe with great food and discounts for guests. There is no river view, but there is some access from the park and a public ramp at Bureau of Land Management site one mile down the road. Wifi was iffy, but, I used my air card without problems. There is lots of extra parking for tow vehicles and there were tent sites away from rv sites. Some big rigs had their tents set out in front of their rigs.

I would stay here again since best rate in the area.

Normandy Farms is a very nice campground. We loved it! There are plenty of activities scheduled for the kids and adults. There’s also a great adult room to hang out and relax. The park has 4 pools, one being indoor, hot tub etc.

This is a very clean and well maintained campground, with lots of nice landscaping and manicured lawns. Our pull through site had a lot of room. It was easy in and out and we had no problem setting up our 38′, 4-slideout class A.

They have an excellent snack bar with affordable and delicious food… and ice cream sundaes to die for!

We stayed here over the Labor Day Weekend and had a great experience. We will definitely return to Normandy Farms next summer.

Strawberry Park Resort Campground – Preston, CT

Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy.com

Strawberry Park Resort Campground is under new ownership (2023). We used to camp here in the past but NEVER again.

Roof leaked in cabin. Fields for kids to play in were not mowed and covered with bees. Septic tank cleaning machine sprayed feces out of a broken hose. Activities were constantly cancelled. Water was shut off for 3 of our 5 days due to “maintenance issues”.

I feel terrible for folks who own property within the park. I recommend that you don’t buy property here and don’t waste your money renting a site.

Saddle Mountain RV Park – Carmel-By-The-Sea, CA

Booked 2 nights at Saddle Mountain RV Park on an April 8 and 9, had to cancel 4 days before stay due to mother in law close to dying.

I called to cancel and left message with above information. No call back. Mother in law passed on what would have been 2nd day of stay. Was charged the full amount of $200. Called again, voicemail wasnt working. Emailed and was written back that cancellations must be done via email only.

They had 4 days to call me back and advise me to cancel via email. Instead, all I got were emails advising me that I didnt follow their policy. Most RV parks would at most charge for first night of stay only, but we were well outside of 48 hour window, so should not have been charged anything.

Ive been RVing for 24 years and never had an issue like this before. We stayed once before but will never come back. We camped at Saddleback Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

North Spokane RV Campground – Spokane, WA

Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy

We made reservations 5 months in advance to stay at North Spokane RV Campground. First, they “forgot” to apply our Good Sam discount and tried to put us in a “buddy site”. After getting the site changed and discount applied, there was a a $42 overcharge. Instead of refunding to our credit card they put a credit on our ”account.” That was 5 months before our stay.

We were there for 5 nights at $84 per night so not exactly a minimal amount. Then a charge of $15.80 appeared on our account and when we asked what it was for the manager, Kaytlyn, could not, and would not explain. When we pressed her on what it was for, we were ordered to get out of her office. Be forewarned, once you make a reservation here requiring payment in full upfront, they will not give you a refund.

They also have a practice of allowing non residents to use the empty sites for dumping because they don’t have water at their dump station. After three RVs dumped next to us on our first day there we asked them to please stop doing that. Again the manager, Kaytlyn, who was combative said pretty much too bad and had no intention of stopping it. We called the ownership of the park twice with no return call.

This place is not Better Business Bureau accredited so they do not care about complaints against them.
