We camped at Sunfox for the first time Columbus Day weekend and had a great time!

Sunfox had activities almost every hour during the day and gave ribbons to the winners of the kids’ races, which our kids loved! They even had activities and late checkout on the Monday of the holiday weekend.

We will be returning and are looking forward to checking out their new pool this summer.

I highly recommend Sunfox for families with kids of any age!

We stayed at A Big Wheel RV Park and had a great time. This is a very nice campground. They have a wonderful staff.

Here are some of the features the campground has to offer: paved roads, 35 lots – level concrete pad, pull-thru sites with full hook-up, large motor home, 5th wheel or travel trailer friendly (20, 30 & 50 amps), picnic area and a pond with catch and release fishing. Also, a laundry facility, showers and restrooms, modem/phone/Internet access in the office and WiFi at most all sites. Nearby is a boat ramp/floating dock on the Crooked River

Also, be sure to check out their pot luck suppers every Sunday for a great time.

We will be here again soon.

East Shore RV Park – San Dimas, CA

East Shore RV Park is one of the most beautiful campgrounds in California or anywhere for that matter. The sites overlook Puddingstone Lake, 2 pools, fishing, and a great place to walk or hike.

But… coyotes and raccoons prey on your small animals. Cats are the preferred meal but they aren’t fussy. Anything that can’t fight back. Coyotes scream all night long. Keep away from F Section. If you don’t specify, that’s where you will be put. There are many permanent residents and not so hot looking RVs. You know the look of a trailer park. The tent campers are in F section. It appears this is where LA comes to spend the weekend and party hearty.

And then there’s the low flying aircraft. If you are bothered by noise, this is not the place for you. These planes fly overhead at all hours of the day and night. There is no control.

Fredricksburg KOA – Fredericksburg, VA

We stayed here at the Fredericksburg KOA in a tent this past fall. We were located in a nice wooded area.

The facilities here were very clean and well maintained. They have a pool, but when we were there the water was very cold and the pool had seen better days. The park staff was very helpful and friendly.

It’s located about 7 miles from I-95, exit 118. I would stay here again, and recommend it to anyone passing thru the area.

Wind Point Park RV Resort – Lone Oak, TX

We stayed at Wind Point Park RV Resort over a month. This is really a beautiful park! It is located right on Lake Tawakoni, in East Texas.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The campsites have full hook ups, fire pits and picnic tables. There is playground equipment and fishing piers too.

The restrooms and showers are clean and well maintained. Cabins, enclosed shelters and tent campsites are also available.

Our site was right on the lake and the sunsets were spectacular. Their rates are very reasonable. They vary depending on site location and length of stay. Our waterfront site was $410 a month plus electricity.

We will be returning to Wind Point Park RV Resort on our next visit to that area.

What a great RV Park! My family and I were pleasantly surprised to find such a friendly, clean, accommodating place that was budget friendly as well as central to everything in town.

We were in a bit of a pinch as we were in the process of selling our home and weren’t sure on the exact closing date, the management and staff at Smokey Point RV Park were as friendly as can be, even though we were a little chaotic on our end. They were very helpful and got us into our spot with no issues. We’ve now been here a little over two years and we couldn’t be happier with our choice! They have bathrooms and a laundry room here, the park is very safe with around the clock surveillance.

I definitely recommend this park for long or short term stays!

Greensboro KOA – Greensboro, NC

The staff at Greensboro KOA are very friendly. We were escorted to a fairly level, gravel site. Our site had good water pressure and was clean. The WIFI worked for me.

There is no cable but there are lots of local channels.  There were lots of trees with acorns dropping on the roof of our RV.

Some of the seasonal sites need to “tidy up” a little. There were not many people there during our stay.

Thank you Carolyn for a warm welcome and a great atmosphere. River Valley Horse Camp was a pleasant surprise discovered along a path.

If you find yourself in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by.

With kindest regards, the Wilsons

From River Valley Horse Camp website:

“Our campgrounds and campsites are definitely “horse friendly”, but a horse is not a requirement to book a stay for camping at the River Valley Horsecamp. You will find fifty (50) campground sites that are equipped with both water and electricity and an abundance of primitive campsites. Of course all of these campsites have access to the beautiful climate controlled shower house. One side of the shower house is for men and the other side for women and each side is decorated accordingly. Also available to all campers is a coin operated laundry, a very unique playground for the children, a fishing pond, many trails for horseback riding, a large warm up arena, a covered stall is included if available. If you don’t have a camper or tent there is even a bunkhouse that sleeps six (6) and a one (1) room log cabin that you can rent. Steve and Carolyn think that horses should also be comfortable so there is also a wash and rolling area for your horse(s). You can read the details of many of the above facilities on other pages on this site. Again, the campground is open to all, horses or not.”

Arkadelphia RV Park has been under new management since July 2016. Mike, Chris and Dedee are doing a great job getting this campground back on its feet.

Arkadelphia RV Park is conveniently located right off I-30 for easy Off/On access. The bathrooms and laundry room are very clean. This is a nice campground with great customer service.

Fall Hollow Campground and Restaurant – Hohenwald, TN

We stayed at Fall Hollow Campground in a travel trailer.

The sites are grass/gravel. The new owners are updating the park. We had a full hook up site 30 amp and the owner was putting in sewer to another section of the park while we were there. The showers in the bathhouse were hot and clean. There is a restaurant on site open Thursday-Saturday night and Sunday for brunch. They serve good food. They have walking trails through the woods along a crystal clear spring fed creek.

The owners were on hand and helped us find things to do in the area. The local wineries are spectacular.
