Askew’s Landing Campground is a beautiful secluded rv park located in the rolling hills of Mississippi. Is located east of Jackson, MS just off of Interstate 20 on Askew’s Ferry Road (turn left) about 4 miles from Edwards, Mississippi and is reasonably priced.
This campground is part of a Civil War plantation owned by the Askew Family. You can still see the old dirt road that was build by the plantation workers. It is part of a Civil War battlefield as well. It is well maintained, has large pull thru campsites, two bathhouses, a swimming pool, playground and activity barn. It has a fishing lake but photographers will find a wealth of nature photo-ops.
The campground has lots of tall pines and other shade trees. The sites are very clean. Check-in and out was a breeze. We have stayed at this campground 3 times on our way to other destinations, but we definately would like to spend some time there as it is so beautiful and peaceful.
It can be a little difficult to find in the dark, and a single lane road runs around a small lake leading to the office. Each time we have stayed we have been greeted by fog so be careful on where you drive. We don’t think you will be dissappointed when staying at Askew’s Landing.
