Neshonoc Lakeside Camping Resort – West Salem, WI

When visiting Wisconsin, we always try to camp at Neshonoc Lakeside Camping Resort. It’s beautifully located on 600 acre Lake Neshonoc.

Some of the 200+ camp sites are located near the lake, while others (our favorites) are situated on the bluff overlooking the lake and region. The staff has always been friendly and made us feel welcomed. The grounds are well groomed and the bathrooms and showers immaculate. There is a pool, playgrounds, cabin rentals, boat rentals and more.

The campground is located just over 14 miles east of La Crosse, which has tourist attractions of it’s own. It’s a great family campground and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

  1. Agreed, this campground is expensive as stated. Each year, not only do the 200 plus seasonal sites see a significant increase, but so do the weekly or weekend campers. They say it is comparable to other campgrounds in the area, but in doing research, it is not comparable. Even Jellystone is less expensive! They do have some nice amenities, but so do other campgrounds that charge less.
