Wenatchee River County Park – Monitor, WA
Wenatchee River County Park is a great campground… so great in fact, that you really need to get reservations before you come. The park is located a few miles west of Wenatchee and about 40 miles from Lake Chelan, right on the Wenatchee River. The campsites are all in a circle so they are well spaced and easy to back into. There are a few pull-thrus also. Showers are clean and neat and there is a small playground for the younger kids and a golf cage for the older ones.
There is no fishing in the Wenatchee River, but folks love to float down it during warm summer days.
