Ocean Lakes RV Resort – Myrtle Beach, SC

Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy.com

In my opinion Ocean Lakes RV Resort is a terrible campground.

The rules are not followed here. There are kids as young as ten and eleven driving golf carts alone. I was walking my shihtzu on a short leash and had to jump off the road to avoid her getting run over by golf cart. A person was driving a truck and could hardly see over the steering wheel and didn’t stop at a stop sign. I was yelled at for it and gave the person the one finger salute.

There was no sign of any campground staff anywhere. Most of the facilities were impossible to use as there were too many people.

We were here with friends and it got so bad when golf carts where running across our site we left early.

Never in thirty years of camping have I felt so threatened and uncomfortable.

Cowtown RV Park – Aledo, TX

I would definitely recommend Cowtown RV Park. Their prices are reasonable, the pool is sparkling clean year-round, and there are 3 well-kept restrooms with showers and laundry facilities as well as a small store.

We stayed here for 4 months and could not have asked for better management, attitude, and facilities. We enjoyed everything about the campground… the staff, the facilities, and the residents of the park – both long and short term.

Their location is convenient to the Fort Worth area and nearby Weatherford is a great place to shop, eat, and play.

The Ozarks Luxury RV Resort is a beautiful campground with fantastic views of Table Rock Lake.

The property is very nicely landscaped and well maintained. Campsites are on level concrete pads with picnic tables. Amenities include full hookups for water, sewer, electric, telephone and cable TV, Swimming pool and Whirlpool, 4,000 feet of frontage on Table Rock Lake, an 8-hole, par 3 golf course, Convenience store with snack bar and 24-hour security and on-site staff.

The only shortcoming to Ozarks RV Resort is it’s location… it’s quite a distance from stores, restaurants, service stations, etc.

If you are looking for a beautiful campground with all the amenities, but quite a distance from everything else, then Ozarks RV Resort is just for you!

Shady Pines RV Resort – Galloway, NJ

Shady Pines RV Resort | RVBuddy.com

Shady Pines RV Resort is great location on South 6th Street in Galloway, New Jersey between Jimmy Leeds Road and Route 30.

They have the cleanest bath house I have ever seen! The clubhouse is fantastic as well with tv, shuffleboard, and pool table. The campground has paved streets and pretty level sites with gravel, mostly back-ins depending on the time of year. They also have a fenced-in, 3,000 square-foot dog run.

There are very friendly owners on site. Camp sites have full hookups. Smithville is just 10 mins away and the Atlantic City casinos are just 30 minutes away. About 2/3rds of park is year round or seasonals. The campground has free wi-fi, which is a great perk, especially if you stay for an extended period of time.

Shoprite, Wawa, CVS and many other stores are close by. The park also has propane. We will stay here again.

Barks Plantation RV Park is a family owned and operated private campground in Glen Allen, Missouri. Located on the hillside, we have 38 drive-thru RV lots with water, electric and sewer hookups. Tent & Pop-up’s can pick a spot on the hillside and enjoy the lakeside view.

The camping area is primitive camping with no electric or water to the sites. We have clean showers & restrooms, card room, laundry room at the pavilion. You can fill containers and carry water from our pavilion.

Our picnic area with the Pavilion can be reserved. Please call for rates. In addition we make and sell our own maple syrup, and sorghum. Barks Plantation hosts Heritage Days in late September and cook off sorghum the ole fashioned way. We grow our own sorghum, strip it by hand, press it by horse drawn press, and cook it down till its good and sweet.

We stayed at Crossroads RV Park for one month and were very happy with our stay.

The park is clean and well maintained, and have great owners. The campground has about 175 sites and paved roads. It appears that they have made several other improvements during the past several months.

Other amenities include Internet access, a pet run, clubhouse clean showers and restrooms, nice laundry, horseshoe pits, bocce ball and more.

This is a 55+ community. The manager is friendly and responsive. The park is easily accessed yet far removed from the highway providing a quite environment with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and lovely sunrises and sunsets.

Blue Mesa Ranch and RV Resort – Gunnison, CO

We love Blue Mesa Ranch and RV Resort!

They have great pools for adults and kids. Our friends have used the cabins which are really well maintained and we enjoyed the sites with shade trees and full hookups. Although we have also used and prefer the Wilderness Area which offers more of a rustic feel. Its just too hard for us with kids to not have full hookups in that area. Their mini golf and playground were put to good use with our family.

Their friendly staff was super helpful and welcoming. We loved being so close to the lake. Our kids went horseback riding with our friend and are still talking about it. There are many trails around the area for hiking and 4 wheeling.

We will definitely be back!

Vista Del Sol RV Resort – Bullhead City, AZ

Vista Del Sol RV Resort is by far one of the nicest, and cleanest parks around this area.

I have been to this wonderful place 2 winters. The other guests are so friendly and stop to talk with you. The staff is very thoughtful and helpful.

There are so many activities here, and the pools, and hot tub are amazing (they are even open 24 hours) The campsites are really nice, and with so much room.

Vista Del Sol It is close to shopping, casinos, and restaurants.

I Love this place and give it 5 stars!

Boardwalk RV Resort – Homestead, FL

Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy

From what I’ve seen, Boardwalk RV Resort is primarily permanent residents and seasonals, with no regard to age or condition of the unit. Some were in very bad shape and many sites were just “junky.”

The temporary sites all backed on to a road that had a constant stream of traffic 24 hours a day, and it sounded like a speed track with the loud revving engines and speed freaks – we got very little sleep in our four nights there.

The pool is small and old, with signs warning you not to swallow the water! And the pool hours – brochure at check in said open until 10:00 p.m., somewhere else said open until dusk, but a paper taped to the pool gate said it closes at 4:00 p.m. (3:00 p.m. on Sunday), which is ridiculous. Fortunately, no-one paid attention and the pool was active well after 4:00 p.m.

There is literally NOWHERE to walk a dog as it will be doing its business on someone else’s site, and no trash cans anywhere to put doggy bags into. The dumpster was in the back corner of the property. The office/store was locked tight and the woman checking us in through a side window shrugged her shoulders when I asked for information on what there was to see or do in the area.

The only positive about this campground is that the location is good in terms of being within an hour of the Everglades and the Keys. Oh, and the sites – they are extremely tight, and the road is narrow so it takes a lot of fancy maneuvering to back into the sites, and you can actually hear conversations inside the trailer next to you! Our fifth wheel is 33 feet, and we could not imagine getting anything any longer into one of those sites.

I absolutely do not recommend this place – my neighbors pulled out early and forfeited their money to move to a different campground.

Oasis Palms RV Resort – Thermal, CA

Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy.com

I must mention that any pics on the Oasis Palms RV Resort website are decades old….the park does NOT look like the photos at all.

This was our 3rd year staying at Oasis and while it’s never been the cleanest place, it wasn’t the level of filth, noise, dog poop, etc that it was during our stay this year. The park has gone from being a tourist destination to a local trailer park scenario, and not in a good way at all.

The manager has sunk this place almost as far as it can go for any tourists to want to camp there. Yes, local people need places to live but he has taken the workers and placed them in amongst where the tourists are, etc. He’s allowed old, junky trailers to be hauled and set onsite in prime areas, etc. We had to listen to LOUD music all night long many times this winter by the local workers camped right by us. He allowed people onsite to rebuild broken down old trailers also. The people residing permanently for the most part had dogs running loose and not picking up after them. We all quit playing games and poker nights in the clubhouse after we discovered mouse droppings on tables/floors in December and just played outside by our own RV’s during the day.

The buildings need to be cleaned, top to bottom. The clubhouse and laundry rooms are just disgusting. We all took quite a few photos so he could not come back and say anyone was lying about the condition of the park. We had to go into Coachella to do laundry for weeks as he posted a sign on door of building saying not to use because of no power. There was power but every time you put a washer/dryer on it blew the breaker.

The pool was never heated to a proper temperature and most of our time there the hot tub was not in use because it was blowing the breaker also. Garbage overflowed out of the bins each week until one of the campers got on management about having 2 pickups/week instead of one. Could not believe our eyes of what management’s solution to overflowing dumpsters was. They loaded one of the workers in the back of their pickup and made him get in the dumpster and heave a bunch of the garbage in the back of their truck. We all assumed the garbage was going to the dump but he drove his pickup behind the gate in the back of the park and dumped the garbage back there. We saw wild dogs and other local animals going back there after awhile and it just reeked. Was still not cleaned up when we left February 1. The manager ranted at how much it would cost to have another garbage pickup day but a week or two later another pickup day happened. I could pretty much write a small book about the downfall of the park but at this point just going to warn anyone and everyone to NOT stay here.
