Windrock Park Campground – Oliver Springs, TN

Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy.com

Windrock Park Campground is the place to ride quads, dirt-bikes, or jeeps. The trails are fantastic, I hear it’s like 70,000 acres of property with hundreds of miles of trails. We stayed at Windrock Campground for 3 days and had a fantastic time.

The people there were great, The employees are the best! They keep things quiet and I can see that they won’t put up with any crap from crazy-type people that are sometimes in ATV campgrounds we’ve stayed at. I was glad of that cause I’m a light sleeper, but we didn’t get woke up a single time there.

This place is not a KOA, but it’s very very clean. They have a great bathhouse with hot showers, and the kids loved the campfires – we had smores every night. I will definitely stay here again. Next time we’re staying a week!

Hartwick Highlands Campground – Milford, NY

Hartwick Highlands is a gem of a campground! It has the cleanest facilities we’ve seen during our travels and the front desk manager (Jennifer) is absolutely fantastic — gracious, friendly, accommodating and extremely helpful.

The location is very close to Cooperstown, so we spent a perfect three days and two nights at Hartwick Highlands Campground and were able to see so much of what the gorgeous area has to offer.

We were assigned a site in the lower level area (section “F”) which is so peacefully quiet with very generous space between sites.

They have everything you want or need here — heated pool, camp store, propane, firewood, laundry, dog park, playground for the kids and outdoor game areas for everyone.

We will take any opportunity to go back to this campground when traveling through eastern NY state. Jennifer and the Hartwick Highland team make you want to relax and stay awhile! (And make sure to stop by the office and ask about their youth baseball tournament pins — they have an awesome collection with some incredible stories!)

Dakota Ridge RV Park – Golden, CO

This is not going to be a good review for Dakota Ridge Campground…

I booked a 2 night stay in March of this year for 2 nights in July. We arrived early and were charged $25.00 fee for being early (my bad). I was escorted to a site that was never designed for a 33 foot travel trailer. By that time the escort had vanished.

The site was on a slope and the rear of my trailer hung out over a slanting 30 ft drop off. I was not able to level the trailer and used ever 3X3 and block I had plus extended the rear jacks to the maximum.

The staff told us no refunds and the Park was not liable for and damages. We elected to leave the Park never to return.

Bay RV Park – San Leon, TX

Bay RV Park | RVBuddy.com

I have stayed at Bay RV Park several times. There are several parks in this area to choose from but in my experience Bay RV Park offers the quiet atmosphere that I refer.

The campground has trees in the older section which is hard to find in south Texas. In the summer heat, shade is a nice thing to have . The grounds and facilities are kept clean. The office area is landscaped with flowers and trees.

The sites are large with back-in as well as pull thrus. The pull thrus are 75′ long by 30 wide so large rvs will fit. Streets and sites are paved.

This park is located between Galveston and Houston which has many things to do. The staff is friendly and helpful.

White Oak Campground -Quarryville, PA

Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy.com

We were 15+ years seasonal campers at White Oak, well not anymore.

The new owners (3 years new) decided to raise their rates, which they are most certainly able to do. We had to hear this information via the grapevine so to speak (confirmed with staff). They raised the seasonal rates from $2850.00 a year to $4,000.00 to $5,000.00 with no advance notice, not even a courtesy email or phone call. (all other rates were changed/raised too!)

The new owners leave a lot to be desired. We were told that the owners want all the older seasonal campers gone! They say rates were increased because of Wi-fi cost. When they first bought the place they increased the rate $1200 which they said was to cover new equipment cost for better wi-fi. We could never get decent wi-fi even after several upgrades.

I just expected some common courteous customer service.

Vasa Park Resort – Bellevue, WA

Vasa RV Park has beautiful lake views… but the park is not big rig friendly.

When you check in you try to turn into a closed gate from a busy narrow road. Then you are instructed to pull into a parking lot across the street then walk across the busy road to check in. Then you go back to disconnect the car you are towing and retrieve your motorhome. Now back across the busy road through a narrow gate that you have to wait for someone to open.

After struggling to get into our spot from a very narrow access road we find that our power is only 20A. How antiquated is that? We had reservations for several days but told the check in people that we were only staying one night because of unusable power. No refunds on unused reserved time.

Would not recommend this place for big rigs.

Bryce Valley Ranch RV and Horse Park – Cannonville, UT

I found Bryce Valley Ranch RV and Horse Park at the last minute, and was pleased how quiet and clean it was. I was also pleased with the special I got for the month of August. Their special was stay 1 night, get the 2nd night free (I stayed 4 nights). The other part of their special was that I got 10% off my bill.

This is a new park so a lot of the trees for shade are young, but this park is centrally located to a lot of excursions around Bryce Canyon and such. Very clean bathroom/shower facilities and the staff were very helpful with me planning my day trips.

I had a great time!

Camden Hills Campground – Rockport, ME

Camden Hills Campground | RVBuddy.com

Camden Hills is a quiet, attractive, well maintained campground nestled in a peaceful, rural setting. The park is just minutes from both Camden and Rockport Harbors and conveniently located for easy day trips to Bar Harbor, Freeport or Boothbay. Most sites were spacious with plenty of shade. Everyone on the staff were friendly and made us feel at home.

To me, the resort is special and I would rate it excellent for both facilities and recreation. The property is beautifully landscaped, with fresh flowers in the restrooms, wide easy access roads, and thoughtful touches throughout the park.

Amenities include 50/30 amp electricity, city water, sewer, and cable TV connections, a large heated pool and adults-only spa, clean restrooms with free hot showers, a modern laundry, and a store stocked with souvenirs and supplies. Free wi-fi is available 24 hours a day too!

Holiday Trav-L-Park – Chattanooga, TN

Holiday Travel Park | RVBuddy.com

This Holiday Trav-L-Park is one of the cleanest parks we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at.  The staff at this campground is gracious and friendly. The sites are level and shaded, the pool is gigantic, the wi-fi works, and it’s got its own history with a Civil War monument on the premise.

Most of the 170 campsites are pull-through, with water, sewer, 30/50 amp electric, cable TV connections, and they have RV sites up to 70′ for big rigs. They also have camping cabins sleeping up to 5 people with electricity, air conditioning and water spigots. Tent sites are also available.

They are really convenient to I-75…

Southbound I-75 go right at top of ramp, then Left on S Mack Smith Rd (Dunkin’ Donuts) follow signs To Holiday Travel Park On right (Across from Dollar General Store)

Northbound I-75 go left at top of ramp, then left on S Mack Smith Rd (Dunkin’ Donuts) follow signs To Holiday Travel Park On right (Across from Dollar General Store)

Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga is on the right.

Holiday Shores Campground & Resort – Wisconsin Dells, WI

Holiday Shores Campground | RVBuddy.com

What more could you want? To start out with I love the tall Pine trees along the river that make you feel like you are out West in a National Park. Holiday Shores Campground is one of my favorite places to camp.

There are plenty of activities for the kids here including a very nice swimming pool. They have firetruck rides (in lieu of your standard hay ride). Also, you’ll find rentals of all kinds at this campground from pontoons to speed boats.

The resort has a friendly, customer oriented staff! We even caught several fish from the back of our campsite! Don’t miss the fresh donuts made every morning that rival Krispy Creme. Oh, and don’t forget, it’s just ten minutes away from Wisconsin Dells.

We’ve booked this summer’s stay here already. This will make it our 5th stay here. I recommend Holiday Shores Campground to all of my camping friends!
