Dunedin RV Resort – Dunedin, FL

Dunedin RV Resort | RVBuddy.com

Dunedin Campground is a highly rated facility… with some permanent in the back of the park. It’s located right on Alt. Route #19 just north of Curlew Road.

The campground has an excellent clubhouse, pool and other amenities. The facilities are clean and well maintained. There is free WiFi too. The campground is in a nice location… near beaches, shopping, restaurants and marinas. They also have scheduled activities during winter season.

Pro baseball, football and hockey are close by too. Tarpon Springs is seven miles away and downtown Dunedin is four miles, both quaint restored cities with many activities and shops.

We liked it and will return next year.

Camp Coldbrook RV Resort – Barre, MA

Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy

In my opinion Camp Coldbrook is HORRIBLE.

The campground is mostly seasonal sites with full-time living in unbelievable states of disrepair with unkempt sites. The roads were virtually impassable. The landscaping was unkempt, and the “kiddie” pool empty and dilapidated.

Campsites were occupied by all sorts of very old trailers in various states of disrepair, torn and broken awnings hanging loose, tents attached to campers using ropes and bungee cords, torn and filthy canvas and tarp “lean-to’s”, extremely old and broken sheds, miscellaneous abandoned vehicles, older and abandoned lawn equipment, and make-shift fencing for barking dogs.

This place should be shut down!! They took my entire 2-night stay ($127) with NO refund after we refused to stay after seeing what we saw. Their website is unbelievably misleading and deceitful. If I were you I would RUN away from this place!!

Deerpark/New York City NW KOA Holiday – Godeffroy, NY

In my opinion Deerpark KOA is the worst KOA we have ever stayed in.

Dirty, roads are awful… full of potholes that are more like craters. Not much to do in the area. The Playground is DANGEROUS! Old and rusted. The employees are all kids. No adults anywhere. No one wears a KOA shirt. No onsite camp workers.

There are gutter falling off the roof of the office, weeds everywhere and most of the park is closed and the cabins are old and not maintained. This place needs to be completely renovated.

The franchisee should lose their right to own this place. There is no ice on the premises. The bathrooms are locked or no hot water where they are open. I could only communicate by email. They do NOT return phone calls or answer the phone.

We were supposed to stay there an additional three weeks after staying for four weeks. We couldn’t do it! It’s just too depressing. There are other options in the area.

Off Grid B&B and RV Campground – Ash Fork , AZ

It’s a little tough to get to the RV park, but once you’re there, the grounds are exactly as advertised – remote, quiet and very peaceful.

The owner had to show us the way, but they’re very helpful once you’re there. They keep it very clean and make several security checks throughout the day. They offer free water, which you have to drive around to fill up your tanks for. We were full when we arrived, so we didn’t need any.

They don’t have any amenities like dump station or showers, but the town is nearby and I think it’s more geared toward skoolies and self-contained rigs. It’s completely raw land with bare spots to camp on. But I think that’s why they call it “Off Grid” RV campground. Not sure why they call it a B&B, but he said they have other properties, so maybe they have bungalows there.

The rates are extremely cheap, but that’s probably because it’s out of the way. Expect a bumpy road, but nice folks and a very restful stay.

Tiger Run RV Resort – Breckenridge, CO

Tiger Run RV Resort | RVBuddy.com

Tiger Run RV Resort is one of the best RV resorts that we’ve stayed at in the last 10 years! This campground is first class all the way… a beautifully maintained property with paved roads and level concrete pads for even the biggest RV.

Every site is landscaped and has a nice patio. The mountain views from our campsite were absolutely beautiful!

Tiger Run is a fairly large RV park with over 350 sites, most with full hook-up including free cable TV and wifi. The restrooms and showers are very well maintained. They have a beautiful open-rafter clubhouse with an indoor swimming pool, hot tubs, game room and TV lounge. There is plenty of hiking and biking in the area too!

We really hated to leave… this was one great park! One final note: This is an exclusively RV only resort… no pop-ups, tent trailers or tents allowed.

Route 66 RV Park – Edgewood, NM

Route 66 RV Park | RVBuddy.com

We ended up at Route 66 RV Park after being turned away from another campground for not having a reservation.

It all turned out very well for the people here are very nice. They guided us in and even assisted us with trying to figure out our new motorhome hook ups. We were very impressed with the large sites. The bus next to us was over 70 feet long with trailer and had no issues getting in or out. The only area of needed improvement is the surface is a dirt gravel mix. No issues unless rains. Then I would bet it gets muddy. The roads are gravel and the older sites are gravel.

This campground is really peaceful. The Managers are very nice to deal with. The campground is very close to many stores and even a country super Walmart. Our toad needed some repair and they gave us a ride to the dealership to drop it off.

We will come here again to see our new friends. Thank you for a nice place to rest right off I-40.

We were at Cherrystone Resort in August.

The check in was fine. We had a golf cart and needed our insurance paperwork. They let us fax it to their office from our insurance representative. After that we were off. We found our site with no more problems than any other campground.

The pools were clean, snack bar was ok, even had to use the laundry. The machine took her money but was refunded with no hassle. We were here for five days and had no problems with the campground or staff.

I had read several negative reviews and was concerned, but when we got there we had no problems. Parents need to control their kids, and some need to control themselves. Other than that was a fine trip, will go back.

The Great Outdoors RV Resort – Franklin, NC

The Great Outdoors | RVBuddy.com

We stayed at The Great Outdoors RV Resort in Franklin, North Carolina in March 2021.  The campground has no pull through sites, but very wide easy roads to maneuver… we had no trouble with our 42’ RV.

All the interior roads are paved real wide for easy access. There is no waterfront- but the very high elevation of the grounds offer amazing mountain-range views. Were going to stay 1 night and stayed the week. Sites 45-60 are on top if you stay or reserve a spot over the phone. The park web-site gives you a great overview and park tour if you are not sure.www.gorvresort.com

They have a pool, showers, a clubhouse, and cabin lots, and there are Class A Lots for sale at the Sunset Ridge section with private facilities if you are looking for property. We took the tour with the owners… a nice, friendly couple.

We would stay here again. They are also pet friendly. While they DO accept children it looks like the park is more catered towards an adult crowd. There are no playgrounds or children areas.

Tiger Oaks RV Park – Gibson, LA

Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy.com

Tiger Oaks is one of the best parks in the area nearest large town Houma Louisiana, also 1.5 hour from New Orleans French Quarter, Swamp tours and gulf just 2 to 4 miles away, Plantation tours all within 30 minutes away.

They have 30 and 50 amp service, w/s, free wifi, spaces around pond, fire rings at all sites, and most have concrete pads. The manager and owners are just as nice as can be. We checked at other places nearby and found most places were worn and needed much maintainence, or  not very friendly people.

This campground is relatively new and very pet friendly, with many ducks here living on property and fish in the pond. Also, across the street is access to the channel which takes you to the gulf and if you are looking for gators just walk across the street.

By the way, don’t forget to bring your boat… there’s plenty of room here for it.
