Waterloo County Park, Lebanon OR

Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy

Waterloo County Park is a beautiful location with trees and native bushes throughout the property and wide back-in spaces that have concrete along side your RV.

There is electric and water hookups on site, a very adequate dump station, with room for all lengths and slide outs. All blacktop roads throughout the park. The South Santiam River is right at the park with a boat ramp and good fishing.

There are two rest rooms with showers. Very friendly and helpful camp hosts. They accept Golden age passport permits. There is a Walmart 5 miles from the park. No disappointments here. Half the park is reservations and half first come first served. The park is located about 5 miles east of Lebanon off Highway 20 to the town of Waterloo.

The Emerald Forest – Trinidad, CA

The Emerald Forest RV Park has a spectacular setting with magnificent Redwoods trees towering around your campsite! This is a great location with a friendly staff and clean, well-maintained facilities.

It’s mostly gravel throughout the park so it can get a little dusty at times. The sites are fairly level but you might have to use a block or two for some of them. There are picnic tables and a campfire ring at all sites. They have full hook-ups, water and electric, self-contained, or a special area for pop-ups and campers in the redwoods. Cable tv is also available, plus free wi-fi.

They also have a mini-market, coin laundry, bicycle rentals, a playground, a clubhouse, a gazebo for community events, video arcade, office and on-site store, on-site security in-season, plenty of walking areas, pet-friendly grounds and a laundry room.

One thing that we found especially nice was their policy that their campground was a “vacation and overnight park only, not a mobile home park”

Other than the above, this campground has limited amenities… it’s really the forest and the trees that make this a nice place to stay.

St. Augustine Beach KOA is a great location,  just off Highway A1A and within walking distance to the beach.  This is a large park, immaculate in all areas.

The free wi-fi works great. They have a well stocked store and easy access to propane.  Campsites are paved and level. The staff is nice, and very friendly. St. Augustine tour buses come right to the park.  There are also loads of stores and restaurants nearby.

The campground has camping cabins, RV sites and tent sites. Amenities include a pool (open all year), fishing pond, paddleboats, playground, and Kamp K9. Also bike rentals, a gift shop, laundry facilities, and planned activities.

We definitely will stay here again.

Lone Star Lakes RV Park – New Caney, TX

We travel a lot to visit family and friends in the North Houston area. Lone Star Lakes RV Park is our favorite. The campground is family-owned and managed. Everyone there is exceptionally friendly and helpful and go out of their way to help you find anything you may be looking for in the area.

Our check-in is always handled polite and professionally. We get good directions or we are led to our site by an on-premise park host. They have excellent amenities that are well-maintained and exceptionally clean.

Only complaint that I have is unless we plan our trip and call early sometimes they are full and can’t handle us. They are proud they have a 90%+ occupancy rate year-round and approximately 65% is repeat business.

In our opinion, this is what an RV park should be. The property has lots and lots of trees, asphalt streets and improved sites. The bathrooms are always clean and they have a great recreation room.  I almost forgot the fishing in their private lake!

We have been coming to Southern Retreat RV Park for 3 years. The park in under new ownership, with a new name and the owners are doing a great job.

The park is clean and well maintained, the office and restaurant are updated and the staff is still friendly and helpful.

There are new recreation activities for the kids – air hockey, ping pong and basketball, a new fenced in area for dogs to play off leash, vending machines. The bathrooms and laundry are well maintained, with new washers & dryers.

Southern Retreat is only minutes from fishing and beaches on St. Simons & Jekyll Islands. We will definitely be back.

Moon Landing RV Park & Marina – Lake Greenwood, SC

I want to sing the praises of an RV park in Cross Hill, South Carolina on Lake Greenwood. It’s called Moon Landing RV Park and Marina.

The lake is beautiful! They have great pull through sites, fast friendly service, everything we needed was there or nearby. We had a beautiful lake view site. Our dog was welcome… not like so many parks now that don’t allow pets. We take our pet with us everywhere we go. There was a dog walk near our site too.

The park has a store that was well stocked, and they offered LP gas. They sell fishing licenses, live bait and tackle too. We had a picnic table at our site and stone pavers for a patio.

We traveled around the surrounding area a lot while we were there and never had one minute of worry about our RV while we were gone. Sometimes we stayed away from the campground overnight if we didn’t feel like driving back to the park.

We will be back and we tell everyone we meet about it. It’s not fancy but it is clean and a great place to stay.

We spent a wounderful time this past July and August at Windmill Campground. We had been on a long trip and it was the perfect place to unwind for a month.

The couple that own the campground were great… friendly and helpful. We enjoyed their company very much. The campground was quiet. The property was mostly shaded which was hard to find in this area of South Dakota.

We can’t wait to go back this summer.

Lakeview RV Park is a very nice campground with a friendly staff. We spent a week with them and have no complaints.

They include cable TV, Wi-Fi and full hook-ups. There are very few pull thru sites, but we have a 40ft 5th wheel and had no problems backing into our site. There was plenty of space.

Amenities include a large pool, fully-equipped pavilion, a general store, laundry, and a pet playground.

This campground is very close to the Bristol Motor Speedway. The staff even recommended some places to eat and provided a sheet of local places and directions.

We will re-visit this campground often.
