Anaheim Harbor RV Park is a small but decent campground about 1/2 mile north of Disneyland. The shuttles or city bus stops right in front. There is also a nice family restaurant right next door.

About 1/2 of park camp sites appear to be long term types. All the sites are blacktop and can accommodate 40-foot RVs plus tip-outs. They have Full hook-ups, plus 30 & 50 AMP service. Amenities include a heated swimming pool, playground, a large new laundry room, newly constructed bathrooms, Free wireless internet access, Free cable TV hook-ups, a Mini Market, a five hole putting green, and a video arcade.

The staff is very helpful and will arrange a rental car if need be. There are also great views of Disneyland fireworks without leaving the park!

They are big rig friendly, and have a laundry, recreation room and WiFi. Pets are also welcomed.

We would stay again.

Camp Lake Jasper RV Resort – Hardeeville, SC

This is a great campground just a short distance off I-95. This is a beautiful campground, and appears to be fairly new. Very quiet and restful.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had questions about what to see and do in the area and they were very helpful.

Campsites have a picnic table and fire rings, There are lakefront sites, pull-thrus and full hookups, including cable tv. Wifi is free and we had no trouble getting a good signal.

The facilities were clean and well maintained. They have a very nice “resort-style” swimming pool, an activity pavilion, a community fire pit, horseshoe pit, and a fishing dock. There is a well-stocked general store with groceries and camping supplies. They also have a small cafe.

Right next to the campground is a 320-Acre nature reserve. Sergeant Jasper Park has hiking trails, elevated boardwalks, canoe and kayak rentals, playground, picnic shelters and a lakefront gazebo.

The campground is convenient to Hilton Head and the historic cities of Beaufort and Savannah. It make a great overnight stop or a base for exploring the area.

Route 66 RV Park is a small campground right off I-40 (exit 187). It’s Prevost heaven!

We did not have to rent two sites nor unhook. There are no bathrooms but they have great wifi. This is a simple park, with gravel roads and sites but a lot of room. They fill up quick.
There is a Walmart, Sonic, Dominoe’s Pizza, and a Denny’s right around the corner. There’s also a Phillips 66 that fills propane.

Just pull in and rest. No hassles.

$35 to $40 is too much for this campground. There is no cable TV. Wi-Fi advertised, but I couldn’t get on. You can’t hook up to the water at your site. It’s basically a gravel parking lot with electric. For the $40 site you get a paved patio.

I will not stay here again. I will plan my driving to stay at another city. North Platte has a nice looking park right off the Interstate.

Saddle Mountain RV Park and Campground – Carmel-By-the-Sea, CA

Saddle Mountain RV Park is a beautiful place to stay with great views of Carmel Valley from the public deck and pool area. The hikes up the hill provide panoramic views of the Monterey Bay/Carmel area with the ocean behind.

The park seems to be beyond the fog line, with sun on the deck while Monterey and Carmel have thick fog. The people who run the place are helpful and friendly and the park is dog friendly. Pool opens in June and I can’t wait!

K&R RV Park – Wichita, KS

This campground is located behind a QT convenience store, next to a highway and railroad tracks. The trains come though frequently at all times of the day and night and blow their horns continually. Even with the windows shut, it got annoying when they come thru late at night and early morning.

Someone or someplace near plays music every night and we can hear the bass pounding. It has laundry facilities – 3 washers and 4 dryers. I was able to use that equipment without having to wait, however I ended up using a Laundromat down the road because the equipment damaged many of our clothes and often did not completely clean them. There are cats running around everywhere. Apparently some were pets, others were strays. If we would grill, we would have to watch our food so they wouldn’t eat it. Also, we had dogs barking during the day.

During our stay there, our satellite equipment that was outside got stolen. That was a loss of around 700.00. We spoke with the owner to see if he would either turn it in to his insurance or contribute for the replacement, but he did neither. He indicated that he has cameras throughout the park, but couldn’t see anything and said he would install more cameras, which was no benefit to us. We have skirting around our RV and underneath we keep a small fridge and other miscellaneous items. I have my laundry supplies in there and someone stole my rolling laundry cart. We also have a generator hooked up in the back, locked up in a cage. Someone cut the lock off, but fortunately they must not have had enough time to remove the generator. There’s a sign as you drive in the facility here stating that there’s no soliciting, however we had someone the other day, trying to sell us magazines.

The sites around us have sidewalks, but you have to park your RV in a combination of dirt, rock and mud. It rained quite a bit here so it was very muddy. There’s really no grass. Just weeds that don’t even get trimmed. They advertise that they have a storm shelter, however it’s only available when the manager decides to open it up. We’ve already had several severe storms and we’ve just ended up leaving to go find a store or restaurant that is safe. When I questioned her about this, she commented that tornadoes “seem to always skip over the trailer park”. On one of the RV sites, it indicated that K&R has a clubhouse, playground, sports field, horseshoes, restrooms and showers. There are none of these.

We travel throughout the US, and all of the other RV Parks we’ve stayed at, we’ve never had any issues about theft. I strongly suggest if you have to stay for more than a day, find another place. Unfortunately, my husband had to work in this area for 3 months.

Moon River RV Resort – Mohave Valley, AZ

Moon River RV Resort - Mojave Valley, Arizona | RVBuddy.com

We loved it here! Moon River RV Resort is the highest rated Good Sam RV Park in the area (all tens) and we’re glad we made winter reservations here. We checked out all other parks, after arrival, including Bullhead and Laughlin, and this was the right choice.

Moon River RV Resort is not a campground that allows tents, it is RV specific. It’s a great location and they have back-road access to Laughlin and close to Colorado River. This campground is small and quiet. We loved the large shade trees, very few in this desert area, and spacious sites. With 2 dogs, we found this to be a very pet friendly park with open areas outside for pets to roam.

We participated in potlucks, parties and various activities geared for snowbirds. The staff was exceptional and always available to help with any needs or concerns… they called us when packages arrived in the office. The campground has good cell service with Wi-Fi, which worked beautifully and it’s free! The campground has a nice sparkling pool. The facilities, especially the bathrooms are clean.

We are now on our 5th month and love it. We’re rebooking for next year. We are long time RV travelers, and prefer rural settings but close to stores and businesses. We Had a fabulous and warm winter! The park was perfect for our needs.
