Destiny Oasis RV Resorts – Las Vegas, NV

Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy.com

This is a very well maintained park despite it’s size… over 700 sites! The Destiny Oasis RV Resort is located just south of the strip, past the airport and next to the Interstate. Despite it’s location, it wasn’t overly noisy although some might consider it a nuisance.

We consider this RV park to be one of the best maintained we have stayed at. The grass was green (watch out for those sprinklers!) and everything was neat and clean. The showers and bathrooms were some of the largest I’ve seen… very clean too!

Lone Pine Campsites – Colchester, VT

We were looking for a campground near Burlington and the Lake Champlain Islands area so we could do a little exploring. Lone Pine is conveniently located a few miles north of Burlington in Colchester, Vermont. The last time my wife and I were here was back in our college days so we were eager to reacquaint ourselves with the area.

Lone Pine is an “above average” campground near I-89 (exit 16) off US Route 7. Most of the sites are located in a large field dotted with shade trees. Interior roads are paved and in good condition. Sites are comfortably large with plenty of room for awnings and slide outs. There are two pools, a rec hall, clean restrooms, laundry and a small camp store. LP gas is also available. The staff was friendly and check in was quick and painless.

Front Royal RV Park – Front Royal, VA

Front Royal RV Park - Front Royal, VAA little off the beaten path… We were passing thru the area and decided to get off I-66 and check in for the nite. We had heard that this particular campground was rather nice.

Got off I-66 (exit 6) and traveled south on US Route 340 several miles. About a mile past the Shenandoah National Park entrance was the entrance to Front Royal RV Park. We’re here! Not quite… we continues up a long, narrow road (we’ve got a rather large Class A and were nervous about meeting another Class A going in the other direction) for what seemed like a mile or two and here we are!

Williamsburg KOA – Williamsburg, VA

Williamsburg KOA - Williamsburg, VirginiaThe Williamsburg KOA is a small campground tucked comfortably away from the noise and traffic of the Williamsburg area but still close enough to all the attractions. We camped here this past summer for a week while we visited Busch Gardens and the surrounding Williamsburg area.

There’s a quaint grocery store and gift shop as you enter to check in. You can get groceries, camping supplies and even buy attraction tickets right there. The campground has gravel roads throughout and some shady sites. There’s a large heated pool, rec hall, small game room and playground on the property. The property was very clean and well maintained.

King’s Dominion Campground – Doswell, VA

King’s Dominion Campground is located adjacent to Paramount’s King’s Dominion Theme Park and just off I-95 exit 98 in Doswell, Virginia. We stayed here for several days this past summer because it was close to King’s Dominion Theme Park. It was also our base for visiting the Williamsburg, Virginia area and Busch Gardens Theme Park.

Admiralty RV Resort – San Antonio, TX

Admiralty RV Resort - San Antonio, TexasMy wife and I have been camping for over 30 years and now that we’re both retired we’ve become full-time RVers. Now that we have the time and opportunity, we plan to visit many parts of the country that we’ve dreamed about seeing all our lives.

One of our first trips this past summer was to San Antonio. It’s a great RV destination with all kinds of things to see and do in the area. Admiralty RV Resort was our base to explore. We both feel that Admiralty was one of the finest RV parks that we’ve visited in the Southwest.

Mi-Te-Jo Campground – Milton NH

This campground has a friendly well staffed crew. If you have children it is good to know there are no activities for them but they are on a lake with beaches, fishing and boating. They also have a well kept rec hall, newer equiped play areas and more. There is no problem keeping the kids and yourself busy.

They also enforce rules about bike riding, vehicle speed and overall behavior evenly. These rules seemed to include employees and campground vehicles as well as everyone else. It was a pleasure not having to warn the kids about those “weed emergency” vehicles, or explain why some people are exempt from the rules like another campground we’ve stayed at nearby. I was pleased to see employees traveling at a safe speed and everybody meeting the same set of expectations.

They campground was kept clean, the store was open on a regular basis, the staff was always helpful, approachable and freindly. They had a few old well kept tractors and had a small amount IH and John Deere etc. type items around. Not sure if that’s an interest to anyone else.

Overall it was a very nice campground oriented around children, the lake and a amount of safety that most people would feel comfortable with for relaxing stress free stay. I would recommend this campground for anyone looking for a decent lakeside experience but wishes to avoid the drive to the White Mountains or Lakes Region of NH.

Port Orford RV Village – Port Orford, OR

Port Orford RV Village is a smaller 45 site RV park with paved roads and grass sites with concrete patios. They cater to mostly retired folks and full timers. The campground is located about 1/2 mile off Highway 101 in Port Orford, Oregon. Amenities include sites about 25×50, a recreation room, coffee room, a large laundry with many machines, potluck suppers monthly, a heated happy hour room, and a mail area where you can have your mail delivered.

Bullard State Park – Bandon, OR

Bullard State Park - Bandon, OregonBullard is a very nice State Park. They offer clean restrooms, and level blacktop pads with lots of privacy. There are lots of large trees throughout the campground too! They have full hook ups with the exception of cable and are in the process of installing 50amp service.

The campground has great walking trails and access to a beautiful beach. Bandon is another quaint Oregon coastal town with good food and shopping. If you golf, they have world class golf courses.

Gig Harbor RV Park – Gig Harbor, WA

We stayed at Gig Harbor RV Park during Thanksgiving 2007. This is the only RV Park in Gig Harbor so they don’t have to do much. We found this converted KOA park dark and dreary. We saw poor drainage on the campsites with the rain when we were there. The staff reminded me of someone that knew they had a captive audience.
