Lebanon KOA on Salmon Falls River – Lebanon, ME

Lebanon KOA | RVBuddy

My family has spent some time at Lebanon KOA (formerly Flat Rock Bridge Family Resort). This is a very warm family type place to stay. The owners are awesome!

They have tent sites and RV sites, some with deluxe patios and waterfront… plus they have several types of cabins to rent

This campground has many things for the kids to do. They have a free 350 foot waterslide that is always a hit with my kids. They also have three playgrounds, two pools and a hot tub. They also have a movie house,mini-golf, basketball and vollyball courts… and tons of events during the camping season.

There is plenty to see and do just a short drive from the campground… hiking, swimming shopping and lots of places to eat!

Try Lebanon KOA and you will be very impressed with all they have to offer!

Savannah South KOA – Richmond Hill, GA

The Savannah South KOA is a good overnight stop with easy access to I-95 but just far enough away from the highway for some peace and quiet.

This is a very pretty property! There are lots of tall trees and shaded pull-thru sites. They have a real nice 35 acre fishing lake (no fishing license required) with lots of waterfowl. They also have a rental boats, a large lodge and a swimming pool.

This is a good campground if you’re looking for a little quiet relaxation. The restrooms and facilities were clean but in need of a little remodeling. The staff was friendly and helpful. There were some permanent sites near the back of the campground, which turned us off.

Access was a little difficult for our large motorhome, and the pull-thrus were a little narrow, but we made it in OK. EZ on-off from I-95 too!

Silver View RV Resort – Bullhead City, AZ

Silverview RV Resort | RVBuddy.com

Silver View is a great RV Resort located on the bluff overlooking Bullhead City, Laughlin and the Colorado River.

All of the amenities you need are available on site or within easy driving distance. The sites are large and level with full hook-ups (30/50 amp with cable). Most are back-ins (or nose-ins for the sites directly overlooking the bluff), but pull-throughs are available. There is nice landscaping throughout the park.

The campground has it’s own on-site Deli/Mini Restaurant and Convenience Store… and FREE room service to your site! Their restaurant serves full breakfasts, sandwiches, burgers, wraps, salads, and more… all homemade! The park owner’s offer FREE coffee & donuts on Saturday mornings in the clubhouse next to the office.

Other amenities include a year-round heated pool (open 24/7), Whirlpool Spa (open 24/7), Wi-Fi, an exercise room, horseshoes & boccie ball, patio with tables & chairs, gazebo & barbecues, two laundry facilities, restrooms & showers, and a large fenced-in dog run. Their large clubhouse has billiards, darts & card tables, bingo & movie nights, an Arts & Crafts room, and a library.

This is a great place to spend a week, a month, or the whole winter. One last thing… this is a family-owned campground and they live on site!

Crown Point Camping Area – Perkinsville, VT

Crown Point Camping Area | RVBuddy.com

My wife and I bought a Class C RV last spring and decided to take a chance and registered for the entire season at Brown Point Camping Area hoping that we weren’t making a mistake. We decided on this campground because we loved its location. We were familiar with this area because of having had a family retreat for several years that as only a few miles away. We loved the outdoor activities in the area, the great restaurants, and the multiple other nearby attractions.

It turned out to be a very smart decision because we loved the campground and have now signed up for another season. We love it because it represents what Vermont is all about. It is situated in a peaceful, beautiful, and rural setting. A view of a farm and nearby Mt. Ascutney greet you as you arrive. You are adjacent to Stoughton Pond recreation area which is part of the 1300 acre North Springfield watershed area. I love leaving my campsite on my mountain bike and riding on well maintained snowmobile trails around Springfield Lake or making a loop ride on dirt roads crossing two covered ridges and stopping at waterfall on the Black River.

This campground certainly isn’t your typical commercial manicured campground. At Crown Point the campsites are spacious an d wooded. It seems more like a state park than a commercial campground. The owners seem to be always making improvements. We are looking forward to enjoying the new lagoon area this season. The people there are great and we now feel part of an extended family.

If your interest is the same as ours, I would highly recommend Crown Point Camping Areas.

Compton Ridge Campground – Branson, MO

Passing thru Branson on the way to Texas and points south we had the opportunity to spend a couple of days at Compton Ridge Campground.

This campground is located about five miles from the Branson strip, it’s just far enough away to give you the feel of leaving the all the traffic, noise and bright lights far behind you.

The campground consists of two areas… the main park and “north park” (2 block north of the main park). Main park is a little more “lively” while north park is on the quite side. The property has over 200 sites, some gravel and others with concrete pads. Most of the property and the sites are in wooded areas, so there’s always plenty of shade. Some sites even have covered picnic tables. There’s a good selection of full hook-up sites (30/50 amps) including cable TV. If you’ve got a big rig you may have a little difficulty manuvering thru a few tight spots around the park.

The general atmosphere is friendly and the sites are relatively clean and cozy. The staff was accommodating and check-in was painless. There’s a respectable list of amenities that include 2 outdoor pools and a heated indoor pool, a 500 seat meeting room, tennis courts, laundry and campstore. Rental trailers are also available. Facilities were clean, but could use a bit of touch-up here and there.

This is Branson so there are tons of things to see and do within a short distance of the campground. You can purchase tickets for many of the attractions right at the campground.

Compton Ridge is one of the better Branson area campgrounds, reasonably priced and a good value. I would recommend it as a great home base if you plan to explore Branson and the surrounding area.

We enjoyed 4 days at the Sugar Barge Resort and Marina on Bethel Island on the Sacramento Delta in August 2019.

Sugar Barge Resort is well maintained, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the restrooms and showers are very clean. They have 114 full hookup sites. Individual campsite spaces are grassy and include a concrete patio.

The property gates are locked at night, but one can come and go through the front gate with the code.

Amenities include: WiFi, a clubhouse with kitchen facilities, a laundry, bathrooms with showers, a picnic area with BBQ grills, a heated swimming pool, and horseshoe pits.

All types of watercraft are available for rent at this resort, and  the playground and heated pool should keep the youngsters happy during your stay. We are looking forward to returning.

Azalea Acres RV Park is a beautiful new park located just off I-10 exit 53 Alabama. It is centrally located to Pensacola, FLorida, Mobile, Alabama & Gulf Shores Alabama.

See all the sights the area has to offer. But back to the park… the folks their are friendly and very helpful. Amenities include: large ( 43’x 92’ ) pull thru sites, level sites with concrete pads and picnic tables, laundry facilities, men’s & women’s restrooms/showers, a community room, peaceful walking trails through 12 acres of beautiful woods, and WI-FI throughout the park.

Anvil Campground – Williamsburg, VA

1
Anvil Campground | RVBuddy

Anvil is a very conveniently located campground to Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens – that is about its only plus. The sites are quite small, the hookups are for the most part getting old and tired and the condition of the pool and bathroom/showers was marginal.

However, the most distressing aspect of this campground is that nearly half of the sites back up to within 20-30 feet of a very active train track. On weekdays Amtrak trains fly by with reularity and numerous long and noisy freight trains rumble past. This very serious annoyance continues through the night.

If you go – ask for a site that does not have a train in your backyard.

Wanee Lake Golf & RV Campground – Ashburn, GA

Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy.com

We have stayed in a lot of campgrounds and this is the best experience thus far.  Wanee Lake Golf and RV Campground is located just 5 miles directly west of exit 82 on I-75, so its close enough to the interstate to be transient but very quiet.

We actually stayed for a month and plan to be back! The management, staff and locals are “over the top” accommodating and very nice! We felt right at home and can’t say enough about the place…

They have very large pull thru’s ready for big rig’s, full hook up (30 & 50), water and sewer on each site, free WIFI, fire-rings, grills, picnic tables, clean bathrooms, a huge pool, lighted tennis court, driving range, putting green, fishing lake, a very established 9-hole course. The campsites are only 50 yards from a full-featured clubhouse with bar. They also have free walking golf Monday thru Thursday excluding Holidays… play golf for membership rate.

Plenty of things to see and do nearby too! We stayed there in a motorhome and plan to come back at least once per year. They treated us like family!

Seven Feathers RV Resort – Canyonville, OR

1

I was amazed that no one has reviewed this awesome RV resort. Seven Feathers is a 10 on anyone’s scale! Everything works, everything is modern and up-to-date. The bathrooms and showers sparkle. Staff is super friendly and helpful and I would recommend it to everyone.

The property is on 23 beautifully-manicured acres with lush landscaping, a heated pool and hot tub, fitness center, a guest lounge, gift shop, 24-hour grocery store, and deli/ice cream shop.

7 Feathers is also a Casino, which is on the opposite side of I-5 from the RV park, but there is a free shuttle. A gas station is included which is big rig friendly. I went to the Casino for dinner and the buffet was only so, so. Not much of a selection, but you can order off the menu.

I love this place and will surely be back again!
