Lake Aire RV Park and Campground – Hollywood, SC

Lake Aire RV Park and Campground - Hollywood, SC | RVBuddy.com

We recently stayed at Lake Aire RV Park and Campground in Hollywood, South Carolina.

We found a friendly staff, and responsive maintenance men. The campground is easy access to Charleston.

The 30 amp service was unable to provide adequate power for one air conditioner. The dump site not conveniently located and the rates are higher than some reviews have reported.

If we are ever in the area again, we would stay there but we would be sure we had 50 amp service.

Oregon proved to be a wonderful state which dictated rescheduling our travels to allow more time, and this midway to everything RV Park turned out to be a perfect long weekend stop and place to catch our breath.

Signage off I-5 was good and the one mile of road to it is excellent. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, taking time to explain everything from the secure encrypted Wi-Fi, to the (deposit required) security key for entry to the indoor “wonderful” spa and heated pool that helped us forget those long miles.

The campground has about 150 sites, many are pull thru and powered by 50 or 30 amp service on concrete leveled spaces. There are three shower and bathroom facilities – the two we “visited” were clean and well kept.

Using two laptops, we used the WiFi which is also provided at the huge recreation center on the property which is also complete with an exercise room, full kitchen, and family room with couches and a cable provided TV and seating for about 75. Also, the 2 provided laundry facilities made refreshing our wardrobe easy, and propane was also available to top off the tanks.

Noteworthy within 2 miles, are local restaurants – everything from authentic old world Hungarian to excellent Italian cuisine.

We enjoyed our stay at Lakeside RV Park. The owners were friendly and very nice to us. The campsites were very spacious and we had no problems getting our camper in and hooked up.

The Wi-Fi signal was excellent every time we used it. This is a great park with great owners and we will definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful camping trip! Sparta Campground is located in the gorgeous Kentucky countryside.

The campground had clean showers and restroom facilities! Campsites were level and shaded, with electric. Pet-friendly Sites! The Owner/Operator was warm and welcoming!

Sparta Campground is a great value for the price! We will definitely be staying here again!

Chickasabogue Park is a great place to stay, with lots of room and big rig pull throughs.

Sites have water, power, 50 amp, and sewer. The campground is close to Mobile… and it’s only $10.00 a night with a senior discount!

The park has clean bathrooms and showers. They also have a laundry room. The staff was very nice and helpful.

This place is a hidden gem don’t miss it.

Chickasabogue Park is an 1,100-acre park in Eight Mile, Mobile County, Alabama. The park contains campgrounds, around 17 miles of hiking and biking trails, a disc golf course, sports fields, boat launches, and a beach on Chickasabogue Creek. It is linked via Chickasabogue Creek to the town of Chickasaw and Mobile Bay. The park also contains a museum featuring Native American, Colonial, and plantation-era artifacts, housed in a former African Methodist Episcopal church built in 1879. – Wikipedia

Spring Valley Campground – Cambridge, OH

Spring Valley Campground is in a good location… it’s at the crossing of I-77/I-70.

There are rough roads getting in/out. Our pull-thru site was long enough for our fifth wheel and truck. The campground’s internal roads are a little tricky.

There is very little info at the front desk if you don’t ask. We found out that they had cable for $$ after we left. We stayed only one night and didn’t use the facilities, so we can’t comment on that.

On a rating of 0 – 5, We would give it a 3.

Beaver Dam Lodge RV Resort – North Beaver Dam, AZ

In my opinion the management at Beaver Dam RV Resort was not the least bit accommodating.

We asked the manager where our small group could have a meet and greet and play lawn games the next day. She showed us a grassy patch adjacent to their patio (Which we were advised we were not welcome to use). She said the only stipulation was that we not serve alcohol.

That evening we set up our tables and chairs, spread out our potluck and beginning to fill our plates, when the manager came out and made a public scene. “You have to get out of here right now. You can’t have food here.” When we reminded her of our arrangements, she said, “I never said anything like that”

Our group is elderly, ranging in age from mid sixties to early nineties, and has several disabled members. Needless to say, the logistics of moving our tables and chairs, food laden tables, filled dinner plates and our disabled members was a great challenge.

Apparently we didn’t move fast enough, because she then stepped out on the patio and said, “get out of here immediately!”

Earlier in the day, one member was unable to connect to the electrical supply. She told him it was his problem.

Our warning to others: Avoid this place! They are not friendly.

Sea Perch RV Resort – Yachats, OR

Where do I begin? I had the misfortune of choosing Sea Perch RV Resort to stay in during my vacation. I spent 80.00 per night so I could listen to the camp host in spot number 27 run his loud, obnoxious table saw all day long cutting rocks to sell in his online business.

This particular person is a non working camp host that the managers allow to stay there for free while he runs a stand that he’s set up IN HIS SITE so people can shop his jewelry. I’ve never seen anything so tacky in an “upscale” resort. Not only does he use this Resort to run his business, I’ve seen him smoking his e-cigarettes in the clubhouse, which is CLEARLY marked No Smoking, including vaping. The entire room will stink for hours after he leaves. The rules state that there is no smoking in the clubhouse, period, but the managers allow only him to bend the rules.

Furthermore his dog is never restrained. They allow it to stroll throughout the park with the leash dragging behind it. On more than one occasion I had to ask him to please restrain his dog. When I voiced my concerns to the management, I was told they’d take care of it, but they never did.

Another thing I witnessed was this same man performed a break job in his site, which is also outlined in the rules as a huge no no. Not only did he perform a break job, I saw him spill break fluid in the site.

They keep their site a filthy mess. I was told I had to remove my windsock from my side mirror because they don’t allow ornaments. Apparently this isn’t true of every one.

In my opinion, the managers are downright rude and their kids are loud and obnoxious. As I was checking in their kids were running in and out of the lobby, slamming doors, yelling and one of them wouldn’t stop banging on a ukulele. I stood in the lobby for 10 minutes listening to the chaos coming from the managers apartment. The managers keep their area a total mess. I saw toys and broken lawn equipment scattered around.

I took pictures of everything. Including the tacky jewelry stand that’s set up. I’m assuming the owner(s) will be very interested in seeing how the camp host uses the resort to run his own business, and that he lives there completely free. I will be forwarding my concerns to them. Avoid this place, it’s run very very poorly.

Lake Hartwell Camping and Cabins is a wonderful campground. Wonderful facilities, wonderful staff.

We have been camping here for many years now and this place gets better and better. We always have great fun on the lake. The people are very friendly here and many come here year after year so we now know many friendly faces. The Wi-Fi this year seems better than ever, I think they must have upgraded. The pool is great, we can’t wait for it to open up for the summer.

We will visit many times again this year at this wonderful fun place to spend time with my girls. Thanks for all you do for us Lake Hartwell Camping and Cabins.

Crossroads RV Park – Mohave Valley, AZ

Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy.com

Crossroads RV Park has become our home away from home. The management/ownership has worked endlessly and efficiently to bring in positive changes resulting in only positive feedback from the residents.

Improvements include a new larger clubroom with pool table, a large screen tv and of course a wonderful get together spot. We enjoyed meeting new residents and of course spending time with the many friends we’ve made through the years. The staff willingly gave their all to coordinate events that were thoroughly enjoyed.

Lighting, roads and landscaping were improved to give everyone a great off the beaten track spot where quading, golfing and shopping are all easily accessible.
