The Fitz RV Resort – Dripping Springs, TX

Fitz RV Resort | RVBuddy.com

The Fitz RV Resort has been amazing! We loved it from the moment we got here.

Pam, the manager, is very helpful and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. This is honestly one of the most beautiful RV parks we have stayed at.

The sites are nice and spacious so you don’t feel cramped next to your neighbors and the premium sites have even more space. The clubhouse was a nice surprise with amazing showers, laundry, and a cool space to hangout or work in. Looking forward to when the pool and skygazing deck are complete!

We absolutely love that it is out in the hill country away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but not too far that it’s a pain to get there.

It has plenty of attractions nearby like Padernales state park. And can we just say, we love how dark it gets at night! We love that there are no bright lights around and you can see the stars beautifully.

We will definitely come back!

Ozark RV Park | RVBuddy.com

Ozark RV Park is beautifully nestled in tall trees, and it’s a perfect location to experience the fun, beauty, friendliness and peace in Mountain View.

The park offers cleanliness and care. The owners, Donna and Mark, are such fun, nice accommodating people. There is a dog park on site, laundry room, bathhouse, picking shed and walking access to the Ozark Folk Center. Town is a stones throw away.

We camped at Ozark RV Park in a 34’ Motorhome in site 12.

Crossville KOA – Crossville, TN

Crossville \ I-40 KOA | RVBuddy.com

Crossville KOA has easy access off of I-40. It is in the middle of 2 exits, so you can get off of one and return on the one in the direction that you are leaving. It is located on the Cumberland Plateau and has nice mountain views.

We found this campground very peaceful. They have a nice swimming pool, and a great rec room with coffee in the morning. The sites are spacious and can accommodate large rigs, small, tents and has some very nice cabins.  There is a nice campground store that has a little bit of everything. There is catch and release fishing pond for the children in the ponds, a very nice tent area, a community fire pit and individual fire pits at the rv spaces. They’ve got a game room too.

The individual tiled shower rooms were very clean as was the campground. The management gave it a relaxing homey feeling. Can’t wait to return and this time it will be for more than one night.

Old Stage Campground – Madbury, NH

Old Stage Campground | RVBuddy.com

I have been camping for over 30 years with my family and friends. Every year we (along with several other couples) would go on trips to different campgrounds and campground resorts. A few years ago we went to Old Stage Campground and I, along with my husband, felt like we had been going there forever!

We decided we did not want to camp anywhere else (much to our camping friends dismay) and put our names on the list for seasonal. The owners were so very accommodating, friendly, eager to please and helpful to us. They were part of the reason we decided to settle there. They welcome everyone and are very caring about their campers.

Old stage is a very friendly campground and I am so very happy to have found it, I can’t wait for next year to start all over again. It is truly a friendly and family oriented campground.

Crossroads RV Park – Mohave Valley, AZ

Crossroads RV Park | RVBuddy.com

My husband and I have found our new “quiet time” place…  Crossroads RV Park.

We occasionally like to sneak away and have alone time. On a venture to something all together unrelated, we ran across this Crossroads RV Park tucked away from the City. At first I must say I was not to sure. Then after staying there for a weekend I must tell you, we almost felt like we were in our own private little world.

It was not inconvenient to be tucked away from the City at all. In fact it was fantastic. So quiet, so peaceful, yet we awoke in the morning refreshed and went to a local Casino for breakfast and a few slots. It was close enough without being right on top of us. The Park has almost a spiritual glow as the sunset that first night and the cactus variations were amazing. Everything was clean and seemed to be in order. (to me one of the most important things.. clean shower/bathroom)

We enjoyed our stay immensely and will be back. With friends in tow. Thank you for a fantastic get away Crossroads.

Hill Country RV Resort and Events Center – Medina, TX

RVBuddy.com

Stayed at Hill Country RV Resort and here is my review:

Facilities: Decent enough, but many of the handles and faucets were installed backwards, and my ”cabin” (more like low-rent borderline section-8 housing), number 37, had dried tile-glue all over the floor. Very unprofessional.

Cleanliness: Whoever does the cleaning should get a raise. It really surprised me at how clean the showers and bathrooms are for a place like this.

Site: As I said: my cabin had dried tile glue all over the floor. On top of that, the AC unit clearly hadn’t been cleaned in months, if not a year. I had to clean it myself in order to make it actually blow, as the maintenance man was a no-show, and the manager was somewhere between dismissive and annoyed about it when I brought it up with her.

Friendliness: Easily the worst aspect of my stay at this RV park. Not only were the staff unfriendly and on-edge, but the manager, Karen, was rather abrasive and curt with me when I tried to talk to her about the porch in front of my cabin, which is falling apart (unfortunately, the same of true of most of the other cabins a well). I had to avoid some of the missing boards to keep my foot from falling through, and when I asked her if there were any plans to repair or replace it, she simply threw up one of her hands and walked off, saying: ”If you don’t like it, you can leave.” I didn’t appreciate this attitude of hers one bit.

Rates: It’s reasonably cheap for an RV park in Texas hill country, and it’s one of the few places left that doesn’t charge you extra for electricity usage (which used to be the norm for RV parks before they started getting greedy). This is a big plus for HCREC, and would have resulted in a positive review for this place, if it weren’t for the above-mentioned.

All in all, this has the potential to be a great place for RV’ers, but the awful management and lack of care for even basic facility maintenance left a bad taste in my mouth. I have to wonder if they’re even keeping up with the RV power boxes, as half of the lights on top of them don’t even automatically come on at night.

If I had to rate this park, I would give it a 5/10. It’s not terrible, but it’s not good either. It seems apparent that Hill Country RV resort and Events Center is well past whatever glory days it may have had, and is very much on its way out.

Venture RV Park – Richfield, UT

Venture RV Park | RVBuddy.com

We stayed at Venture RV Park with our 27’ fifth wheel in a pull through site. All the sites are gravel and include a concrete pad with a nice picnic table. The site had power, water, sewage hookup and Wi-Fi. This is a new facility, very clean and very easy in and out.

Pretty high desert country! A nice Walmart is within walking distance. The staff was exceptional and helped up get set up for the night on our first stop with our new RV. Although we had studied online about this RV as we could, we still had a lot to learn. The staff enthusiastically helped us figured out our systems and got us settled for a much needed good nights sleep.

We can’t thank Teána, Tony and James enough! They were so kind and knowledgeable!

We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Oakdale KOA – Oakdale, WI

Campground and RV Park Reviews | RVBuddy.com

The Oakdale KOA is a beautiful campground. But more than that… we were treated exceptionally well by the staff when we pulled in with RV problems. The owners went out of their way to accommodate us and direct us to a repair shop.

The campground has 76sites, 48 full hookups, 12 W/E, 8 E, and 6 no hookup. There are 34 pull through sites, a separate tenting area, a laundry, and a small campstore. There’s also a dump station, showers and FREE Wi-Fi.

There’s lots of things to do here too… they have swimming pools, a heated pool, a playground, Bocce ball, horseshoes, volleyball, basketball, a recreation hall, a pavilion, a game room/arcade, a jumping pillow, and hiking trails. They also have planned activities including pancake breakfasts and ice cream socials.

We camped here for a week in the summer a couple of years ago. It’s really a fun place to stay, with plenty of things to do for the kids!

Creekside Campground – Edinburg, VA

Creekside Campground | RVBuddy.com

Creekside Campground is a gem! It’s an easy hop from I-81 in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley (Edinburg Exit 279).

All the campsites are on or near a tranquil fishing stream for big rigs to tents. They offer full 50 amp service down to tent sites.

They have wifi, very clean restrooms and showers and each site has a fire ring and picnic table. Although they don’t have an on-site laundry, there is one nearby. Pets are permitted as long as they are on a leash

It’s location is an easy walk to an historical Civil War era town with an authentic mill and museum, as well as local restaurants. It’s also close to the Woodstock, Virginia antique shops.

It’s really one of those campgrounds that you can look forward to coming back to year after year. We’ll be returning next summer!

Tradewinds RV Park – Golden Valley, AZ

Tradewinds RV Park - Kingman, AZ | RVBuddy.com

Tradewinds RV Park is a really nice, clean campground.

All of the facilities were immaculate, modern, and well-maintained. The sites are all large and level, with clean gravel. There is a good WiFi signal (free). The park is in a quiet, out-of-the-way location that’s also close to lots of things to do in Kingman and Laughlin/Bullhead City.

The campground has 30/50-amp full hook-up sites, large “Big Rig” pull-thrus, a great clubhouse with lots of activities.

I had a great stay here… the campground is near popular area attraction. I spent a fair amount of time exploring the local 4×4 and ATV trails, which was lots of fun. The staff were all very friendly.

I would definitely stay here again!
